Giants Blouberg Gymnastics

Giants Blouberg Gymnastics World class gymnastics coaching programme for boys and girls, ages 3 to adults

Giants opened its doors in the Blouberg/Table View area in 2007 offering Artistic Gymnastics. We have grown dramatically over the past few years and are now one of the fastest growing clubs in the area. We offer classes for boys and girls, from ages 3 to 100 years for children and adults completely new to the sport as well as those participating up to competition level 7. Our Tiny tots and Beginne

r classes are aimed at the dominant movement patterns as well as the basic gymnastics skills. We also offer an intermediate class, which caters for older children who wish to start taking up the sport, but too old for our beginner classes. Our competition level gymnasts have represented Cape Town District and the Western Cape Province and do us proud with their amazing achievements. Most parents think kids quit sports because they get “lazy” or “lose interest.” 😔

But the truth is much deeper.

Sometimes kids quit because the pressure becomes too much. Too much pressure from coaches. Too much pressure from parents. Too much pressure from themselves. Sport stops being fun… and starts feeling like a job. When a child feels scared to fail every day, quitting can feel like the only escape.

Sometimes kids quit because they stop believing in themselves. One bad competition. One mistake. One embarrassing moment in front of others. Confidence is fragile, especially when they’re young. In gymnastics, I’ve seen talented kids quit—not because they weren’t good enough… but because mentally, they felt broken.

As parents, your words matter more than you think. Kids don’t always remember the score… but they remember how you made them feel after practice and competition. Build confidence. Build joy. Build love for the sport first. Because when kids love the process… they stay in the game longer. ❤️🏆

We are soaring with pride for Isla Deck and Emily Dryden (both in Grade 4E), who recently represented Giants Gymnastics Club at the Level 1 Western Cape District Trials in Kuilsriver!

Both girls delivered flawless performances, each earning a well-deserved Silver Medal in their category. 🥈✨

Because of their exceptional talent and hard work, Isla and Emily have been selected to represent the Cape Town Gymnastics Association district at the 2026 Western Cape Gymnastics Championships in Saldanha Bay this June!

Congratulations, girls! We’ll be cheering for you as you prepare to take on Provincials next month. 💙💛

GYMNASTICS ACHIEVEMENT

Hard work, dedication, and countless hours of practice have paid off for Morgan Thomas.

On 23 May, Morgan participated in the Gymnastics District Trials, where she delivered an outstanding performance and was awarded a gold medal. As a result of her excellent achievement, she has been selected to represent Cape Town Gymnastics.

This is a remarkable accomplishment and a reflection of the commitment and determination she brings to her sport. We are incredibly proud of Morgan and look forward to seeing all that she achieves in this exciting next chapter.

Well done, Morgan, and best of luck as you represent Cape Town Gymnastics.
