Sometimes we get so used to feeling tired, stiff, sore, or not sleeping well that we start thinking it’s normal.

The thing is, your body has a way of letting you know when something needs a little more attention.

Maybe it’s those tight hips after sitting all day. Maybe it’s the neck tension that never quite goes away.

Or maybe you’re running on low energy no matter how much coffee you drink.

That shaking during Pilates?

Most people think it means they’re doing something wrong… but it’s actually the opposite.

It usually shows up when you’re using muscles that aren’t used to being switched on... your deep core, stabilisers, the smaller support muscles.

Add in slow, controlled movement, and your body has to work harder to stay steady.

That’s where the shake comes in.

It’s your muscles fatiguing, and your nervous system learning how to control them better.

So instead of seeing it as weakness, see it as your body adapting.

Most people don’t realise how off their body feels… because it becomes their normal.

The tight shoulders, constant low energy, shallow breathing and feeling of always being slightly tense.

You don’t question it, you just adapt to it... Until something shifts.
And suddenly you notice:
you’re breathing deeper, your body feels lighter, you’re not holding tension the same way, you have more energy without forcing it.

That’s usually the moment it clicks, “Oh… this is what I’m supposed to feel like.”
That’s what Pilates starts to bring you back to.

Not just strength or flexibility, but a body that actually feels good to live in again.
