Today, Beyond the Barre Dance Academy celebrates 5 incredible years! 🩰✨

Five years ago, this studio began with a dream to create a place where every child could discover the joy, discipline, and beauty of ballet. Since then, we've watched tiny first steps become confident performances, celebrated achievements big and small, and built a wonderful dance family that means so much to us.

To every dancer who has walked through our doors, every parent who has trusted us, and every family that has supported our journey... thank you. You are the heart of Beyond the Barre, and this milestone belongs to all of us.

As we celebrate our fifth birthday, we're filled with gratitude for how far we've come and excitement for everything still to come. Here's to many more years of dancing, dreaming, growing, and creating unforgettable memories together.

We are thrilled to welcome Tammy Higgins, *Principal Dancer with Joburg Ballet*, as the official examiner for our 2026 Beyond the Barre Ballet Awards!

🩰 Ballet Awards 📅 19 September 2026 📍 Beyond the Barre Dance Academy

Open to all dancers aged 5 years and older.

Entry Fee: R500 per dancer
✔ Exam attire rental included (shoes and stockings not included)
✔ Full Payment due 20 August.

✨ Give your dancer the opportunity to perform, receive professional feedback, and earn a medal and certificate in a supportive, inspiring environment.
