As Women’s Month comes to a close, Eastern Province Golf is proud to celebrate a woman whose contribution to the game has spanned more than four decades - Lynn Slogrove. 👏
After more than 40 years of representing Eastern Province with distinction, Lynn has decided to step away from competitive golf, bringing to a close an extraordinary chapter in the game.
Lynn represented EP from 1985 to 2026, captaining the team on multiple occasions and building a record that speaks for itself. Across her remarkable career, she won at least 45 Club Championships at three Eastern Province clubs, including more than 25 Humewood Golf Club Championships, as well as an incredible 13 out of 14 Club Championships at St Francis Bay between 1997 and 2010. 🙌
Her legacy is about far more than trophies and titles. It is also about the example she has set through her commitment, sportsmanship, leadership and the support she has given to generations of golfers who followed.
As EP Golf President Karl du Preez reflected, her contribution to the game will remain part of the Eastern Province Golf legacy for many years to come.
Today we celebrate Lynn not only for what she has achieved, but for the standard she has set for women in golf across the Eastern Province. Her career is proof of what dedication and love for the game can build over time. ❤️
