It's Game Day for our Under-15s! 🏉

Our Hot Steppers U15 team is ready to take on the Dolphins U15 today in what promises to be an exciting encounter.

Today's match will give Coach Siya valuable insight as he continues preparing the squad for the BDD Foundation Tournament later this year.

"We're thankful for the opportunity to get the boys together for some valuable game time while testing different combinations. We're taking the BDD Foundation Tournament very seriously this year because the talent pool in our region is simply too good to ignore. Thank you to everyone who continues to support this initiative—we look forward to seeing you in Kranshoek today," said Coach Siya.

Coach Siya will be assisted by the enthusiastic young coach, Heini Pienaar, who is excited for his first outing with the team.

"This will be my first time working with Coach Siya, and I'm grateful for the opportunity. There is so much young talent in our region, and it's a privilege to be part of this journey. Boys, go out there, give it your all, and most importantly, enjoy the game!"

HOT STEPPERS U15 RUGBY TRIALS

Hot Steppers Rugby Club would like to invite all aspiring U15 rugby players to our annual rugby trials in preparation for the BDD Foundation Rugby Tournament later this year.

Coach Siya Kasibe said: "We are truly grateful to the BDD Foundation for providing this incredible platform to showcase our local talent and create pathways to bigger opportunities for our youngsters. Come and meet some of the players who have benefited from these opportunities, hear their stories, ask questions, and have a chat about the journey ahead."

Friday Night Lights... Cameras... ACTION! 🏉🔥

Our Hot Steppers youngsters were back in action tonight against Knysna Barbarians Academy U19 and Green Lovers U21 respectively.

After a lengthy layoff, both teams showed a bit of rust, but one thing was clear – junior rugby in our region is alive and thriving.

The gap between schoolboy and senior club rugby is significant, making opportunities like these invaluable for the development of our young players.
A huge thank you to everyone who played a role in making tonight possible and for continuing to invest in junior rugby structures in the Knysna/Plett region.

The U19 encounter was a fiercely contested battle, with the teams sharing the spoils in a 12-12 draw against a determined and well-drilled Knysna Barbarians Academy side. Well done, boys!

Our U21s, however, showed their class with an impressive 26-7 victory over Green Lovers U21. The crowd was treated to some outstanding rugby, with excellent skill, attacking flair, and beautifully worked tries that had supporters on their feet.

Coach Siya Kasibe was pleased with the evening's performances:

"Hats off to all the teams that were in action tonight. It wasn't easy for our boys after such a long break, but they once again found a way to gel and produce some magic. It's a privilege working with such talented and hardworking young men and creating opportunities for them to showcase their abilities. We hope to see even more from them in the near future because tonight's crowd thoroughly enjoyed the rugby on display."

Thank you, gentlemen, for your commitment, discipline, and passion. The foundation is strong, and the future is bright.
