A fantastic turnout marked the 22nd edition of the BUCO Adventure Easter Weekend. Blessed with perfect weather, families and friends gathered at this year’s temporary venue, Royston Farms, for a weekend packed with fun and adventure.
Two local families, the Wollatts and the Visagies, showed up in full force, each bringing along five enthusiastic members and adding to the vibrant community spirit of the event.
The trail runs linked sections of the MTO Garden Route Trails in the Alkantmooi area, incorporating newly created singletrack to keep runners on their toes while showcasing fresh terrain. The routes offered both challenge and scenery, making for a memorable experience.
The traditional Easter egg hunt was a highlight, enjoyed not only by the children but also by a few adults who happily embraced their inner child.
Keeping the adventure alive, a group of intrepid participants returned on Sunday to take on the BUCO Adventure multisport race. Competing in pairs, they navigated the course by map, running and riding between checkpoints scattered across the area.
All in all, it was another successful weekend of family fun, adventure,
and great memories for everyone involved.
