Two South Africans. Two Ferraris. One championship title up for grabs! 🇿🇦🏁

David Perel and Andrew Rackstraw head into this weekend's Italian GT Endurance season finale at Mugello with both drivers firmly in contention for the GT3 Pro-Am championship.

Perel currently sits second in the standings, just six points behind the leaders, while Rackstraw is third, only 11 points off the top.

Both South Africans will be racing for Spirit of Racing in separate Ferrari 296 GT3 Evos, making Sunday's three-hour finale particularly exciting as they each fight for the same championship title.

With everything still to play for, we'll be keeping a close eye on Mugello this weekend and cheering on both of our South African drivers! 🇿🇦

The 2026 SAES season is coming to a close, and what better place for the ultimate celebration of African motorsport than KYALAMI! 🏁🔥

Saturday, 14 November, is shaping up to be an incredible day of racing, with over 150 entries expected across the weekend and a packed programme featuring a huge variety of race cars!

From the close battles of Polo Cup and Lotus Challenge to historic racing cars, GT machinery, Silver Cup and more, there's something for every kind of motorsport fan. 🏎️

And of course, we have the BIG one to look forward to...

🔥 Two 70-minute SAES races, with the final race bringing an entire season of endurance racing down to one last chequered flag. There's still plenty to fight for before we crown our 2026 South African Endurance Champion!

Beyond the racing, there's live entertainment (keep an eye on our socials for the full lineup), fan activities and plenty to explore around the circuit. It's going to be a fantastic way to round off the season!

Friday, 13 November, is packed with on-track action as the SAES season finale gets underway!

Practice sessions kick off at 07:30, followed by qualifying in the afternoon and the first races from 16:31. With multiple racing categories taking to the circuit, Friday is already shaping up to be a cracker!

If you like a grid where almost anything can show up, Clubmans is one to watch 👀🔥

Clubmans joins the SAES Season Finale at Kyalami with a seriously varied mix of machinery, from BMWs, Hondas and Mazdas to Polos, a Lotus Exige, Subaru, Ford Es**rt, Datsun 240Z and more.

And with multiple classes sharing the track, the fight at the front is only part of the story. There are battles happening right through the field, with very different cars finding their speed in very different places.

One of the closest grids in South African motorsport is heading to Kyalami 🏁

The Lotus Challenge joins the SAES Season Finale with lightweight cars, tiny gaps and battles that run right through the field.

Racing since 1996, the category is built around Lotus and Lotus-inspired machinery, with a philosophy rooted in founder and Formula 1 engineering pioneer Colin Chapman: “Keep it light. Keep it simple. Make it fast.”

Nearly 30 years later, that still shows every time these cars hit the track 😁

Close racing, committed drivers and a paddock with a proper sense of community. This one is always sooo fun to watch 🔥
