CLEAN SWEEP FOR JHB BLACKBALL
This past weekend saw our players dominate the Gauteng Blackball Championships at the respective clubs around the province. Congratulations to the following:
WOMEN (HOSTED BY BALLBREAKERS MONDEOR):
JHB BB Women won the Team Event
JHB BB Women won the Team Speed Pool
The entire Gauteng BB Womens Team consists of JHB BB Women
Michelle Mason from JHB BB (Ballbreakers Fourways) ended up number 1 Seed.
U23 (HOSTED BY MANGO MOON):
JHB BB U23’s second side won the Team Event
JHB BB U23 won the Team Speed Pool
Nsovo Mathonsi from JHB BB (Basils Billiards) ended up number 1 Seed.
SENIORS (HOSTED BY SHOOTERS):
JHB BB Seniors won the Team Event
Azim Hoosen from JHB BB (Basils Billiards) ended up number 1 Seed.
All the players who partook in these events looked very professional in their JHB Blackball Golf Shirts which sported the federations new funky logo and the Timeout Sports Bar’s brand. This all possible thanks to the players who participated in the various JHB Blackball events previously and those who never qualified for the sponsored shirts but paid anyways, not forgetting the R8,000 plus sponsorship from Timeout Sports Bar who hosted the said events. Not bad in for our first year so far!
Then 2 special mentions, to Dave van der Berg from Ballbreakers Mondeor and Thilomi Govender from Nterra, who between them, threw R10,000 prizemoney into the Women’s event plus complimentary lunch, what an awesome contribution which we are sure will get our ladies to recruit more ladies for next season! Thilomi and Dave, we hope this will become an annual contribution for the Ladies!!!!
