MEET OUR TPS AMBASSADOR 💜🏁

Our official TPS ambassador is the one and only… Chané Van Rensburg 🥹💜

Chané is an incredible racing driver and also someone who genuinely wants to see more women feel confident stepping into motorsport, whether that's behind the wheel, in the paddock, or simply as part of the community 🫶

Her passion for racing started young and has grown into a journey that's seen her carve out her own place in the sport while inspiring others to do the same. Today, she competes in the 1660s category and continues to prove that women absolutely belong on the track.

What makes Chané so special to us isn't just her talent behind the wheel. It's her willingness to share her experiences, encourage others, and make motorsport feel a little more welcoming for the next generation of girls who dream of being involved in racing one day 🫶

We're incredibly proud to have her as part of The Purple Sector family and honoured to have her representing what TPS stands for 💜

Stockrods Recap – Ultimate Outlaws - Raceway 🏁

The evening started off really well for Charl, with the car showing great pace right from the start.

Heat 1 – 5th 🏁
Heat 2 – Running strongly in 3rd 🥉

Unfortunately, during Heat 2, a car ahead suffered an engine failure, leaving oil on the racing line. Charl hit the oil and slid into the wall. While the initial impact wasn’t too severe, another car behind him also hit the oil and unfortunately made heavy contact with Charl’s car, causing significant damage. Thankfully everyone is okay! Big thanks to everyone who helped Charl to get the car loaded afterwards, much appreciated 👏

It’s especially disappointing because we feel like we had finally gotten the car sorted, and it was showing some really promising pace. Charl was looking fast all night and was well on his way to a podium finish before the incident. But that’s racing for you.

We’ll regroup, rebuild, and come back stronger. 💪🏁

6th overall for Chané 🏁

Big thanks to Uncle Johan for the loan of a gearbox after Chane’s broke during practice 🙏

Jannie Van Rensburg took on the 2.1 class in Chané’s car this past Saturday 🏁

An impressive drive from the 1660, with Jannie competing strongly against the 2.1s! 💪

Stockrods race recap - The Rock 09/05 🏁

Charl got taken out in heat 1 and 2, but showed determination and still finished all three heats! We are happy with the pace the car showed, a few improvements still to come, but an awesome day of racing! 💪

A few weeks back, The Rock also hosted their 2025 prize giving where Charl was crowned Stockrod Club Champion and received an award for 100% attendance. 🏆

Last weekend, The Rock Raceway Oval hosted their 2025 Annual Prize Giving 🏁

🏆 2nd Overall – 1660 Modifieds Club Championship
💯 100% Attendance Award

Super proud of Chané’s hard work and dedication all season. Looking back to when she started racing, it’s really special to see how much she’s grown 💪

A big thank you to her sponsors and everyone who supports her. 🏁

🏁 Race Recap 11/04 🏁

In the 8V Midget class, Johnny finished 2nd overall - and that’s despite battling a middle ear infection 💪🔥

In the Stockrods, it was a night of tough luck for Charl. Gearbox issues forced an early withdrawal, but in true racing spirit, a fellow competitor stepped in. A big thank you to Rudi Griezel for the great sportsmanship in offering his car 🙌

Charl unfortunately ran into mechanical issues that brought his night to an early end.

That’s racing - you win some, you lose some… but we’ll be back stronger 💥🏁

Supreme Championship Final – 11 April at The Rock Raceway Oval🏁

Chané finished 5th on the night and 9th overall in the championship. After missing Round 1, we don’t think it’s too bad to still finish inside the Top 10.

23 cars competed in the championship with 28 entrants - strong competition all around 👊🏁
