What a weekend! The Kleur Space Southern Cape Captains Cup 2026 CAPTAINS XII vs CHAMPIONS XII.
Day 1 on George Golf Club kicked off with a morning round of Foursomes where the teams shared the 6 points on offer 3-3. The second round of Better-Ball Matchplay commenced after a nice lunch at the Fire Box Half-way house, seeing the CAPTAINS XII take a slight lead, winning the session 4-2. Day 1 ended with many players having a few drinks and Captains revealed their pairings for the Singles Matchplay to be held at Kingswood Golf Estate.
Day 2 looked to be a wet day, but the golfing gods were merciful and players were able to play the Final round uninterrupted. The games were close with a few going to the last hole, but in the end the CHAMPIONS XII came out victorious 13.5 - 10.5. The Tournament was fittingly closed off with a Spit-Braai by Legacy Spitbraai's, where players mingled amongst each other, reflecting on the past 2 days.
