💙 WP Champion of Champions

The WP clubs have all completed their club singles competitions in the Open, the Veteran and the Novice divisions. We know that some intense matches were played, sometimes only one point an end being picked up, players moving forward and upward to meet a worthy opponent for the finals, many times with close results!
Congratulations on being a club champion!
The 2026 WP Champion of Champions promises to serve up even more delicious bowls on the plates of spectators as the players gather to showcase their skill, play for the ultimate win and be crowned the WP Champion of the Club Champions!
Will it be you? Will it be your club? 🫶🏼 Clubs, please show your support for your players in this straight knock-out! The venues for round 1 to round 3 tomorrow, 30 May as per below, with all divisions playing at Helderberg Bowling Club on Sunday 31 May.
📌CoC - Open division
🚹 Venue Durbanville BC (26 players) with Veteran Singles bronze medallist at the BSA Men's Open, Steve Woor, and the legend, Kevin Campbell, to name just two.
🚺 Venue Meadowridge BC (27 players) with BSA Masters gold medallist, Elma (Mo) Louw, and Pairs bronze medallist at the BSA Women's Open, Colleen Marshall, in the mix.
📌CoC - Veteran division
🚹 Venue WPCC (20 players) with so many well known WP players in the mix it's difficult to name only a few. WP Veteran Singles gold and Masters Veteran singles bronze medallist, Etienne Malherbe as well as Wally Brown, bronze medallist for both the WP Veteran Singles and the Masters Veteran singles will be in action.
🚺 Venue Old Oak (19 players) see a few new names and experienced players stepping out to play. WP Veteran Singles silver and Masters Veteran singles bronze medallist, Denise Kidd and Masters Veteran singles silver medallist, Liz Cape will be there, ready to roll.
📌CoC - Novices
🚹 Venue Somerset West (23 players) is producing an exciting group of young and older men eager to enjoy every moment in their new sport. There are a couple of names that stand out, two being Ernst Venter and Thys van Tonder.
🚺 Venue Bergvliet (20 players) sees WP Junior Masters silver medallist, Hannah Havenga, and upcoming novice Annie Dobson as part of this group.
