Baywatch 📰 I False Bay Under-20s win historic title in four-match clean sweep at UCT 🏉

False Bay completed a four-match clean sweep at UCT, with the Under-20 A side beating Ikeys 38-17 to claim the club’s first title in the top Under-20 league.

The President’s Cup is an annual WPRFU Club Rugby competition, bringing together the top eight teams from the SLA to battle it out for the prestigious President’s Cup trophy. Over the next three weeks, we’ll see the quarter-finals, semi-finals and the Final on 19 September 🏆

This Saturday, The Bay hits the road as we make the trip to our friends at Durbanville-Bellville for another big one

𝐒𝐈𝐏 & 𝐏𝐀𝐈𝐍𝐓 𝐀𝐓 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐁𝐀𝐘 🍷🎨

Last night's Sip & Paint at False Bay Rugby Club was the perfect way to wave goodbye to Women's Month and prove that rugby people can, in fact, stay inside the lines! 😂

Armed with paintbrushes, w**e glasses and varying levels of artistic confidence, our "artists" produced some seriously impressive work. Whether we have any future Irma Sterns or Mary Sibandas among us remains to be seen... but there are definitely a few masterpieces now proudly hanging on fridges across the Deep South! 🎨

A huge thank you to rugby mom's Tracey and Sharon for putting The Bay first. The Toad , Bruce Jack Wines, 5P Creations and all our generous sponsors for helping make the evening such a memorable fundraiser for The Bay 🤝

Good w**e, good food,great company and a little creative chaos = a winning combination! 🍷🍕🎨

The most frequently asked question of the evening was:

"When's the next one❓" A close second was probably: "Is this what my painting is supposed to look like❓"

With the Crocs captain spending the evening painting alongside his lovely wife, we're thinking the next edition could have Date Night written all over it! 😉 So gentlemen, start practising your brush strokes now, because we think the next edition needs to be even bigger, even more inclusive and just as much fun.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, supported the event and helped unleash their inner artist.

Some discovered they can paint. Others discovered they really enjoy a glass of Bruce Jack and a pizza from The Toad. Either way, we had an absolute cracker of an evening! 🥳
