Took to the streets this week and did a race car presentation for the FFA classes at my school. Talked about our program, our safety gear, our car and racing at Barona Speedway and Cocopah Speedway. Had fun sharing this with my classmates and peers. Thank you Mr. G for having me out and always supporting me! We're regrouping over the next few weeks but we'll be on the track at Cocopah Speedway next month! See you all there 🏁💜

🏁 That's a wrap on Barona. 🏁💜

Our final race night got rained out, but what a season to close on. From first hot laps to last checkered flag, the 8M got better every time we unloaded at Barona Speedway.

Huge thank you to Barona, the crews, the families in the pits next to us, and every person who cheered on Wildflowers Racing team 🫶🫶

This week marks the last week of our race season at Barona Speedway. Sad to see this season slip away but I feel great about how many accomplishments it has brought me. It's the little wins behind the scenes that matter the most. This is something I love to do, this is something I will continue to do for seasons to come. We're just getting started over here and I can't wait to see what the future holds for the Wildflowers race team. Last night's race recap!

Heat race... checked in and started in 3rd. Took a minute to get my bearings. Car felt loose and didn't seem like it wanted to hook up. Track conditions seemed a tad dry for our tire psi we had set and I had a hard time keeping it straight in the corners. I dropped back a few spots after a slip up and it cost me a 7th place finish. No worries because we were all transferring to the main event.

The main event. ....to be honest I felt lost. Started 20th in a field of 23. I didn't have real high expectations. Track felt a little wet slick at the start of the race. I held on to my spot. We had a couple restarts. I was in traffic and checked up going thru turn 4 and took a ride on the merry go round and got spun... My fault 🤷. On that lap I got passed by all the lead cars and a caution came out. Restart was weird but the car felt good, track felt good so I sent it. Battled with a few cars around me, passed a couple cars. I had no idea what position I was holding or what lap we were on I just sent it! All in all a clean race, the car stayed together and we were able to secure a 13th place finish out of a field of 23 cars 🤷. I'm happy with it but I still have some work to do and more to learn.
