The 928 Baseball Club is getting prepared to represent Yuma and the state of Arizona on a national stage. The team is headed to Reno, Nevada to compete in Nevada’s Ultimate World Series, taking place July 17–20.
The talented group of young athletes has worked hard all season, earning the opportunity to play against top teams from across the country. Now, with bags packed and bats ready, the 928 Baseball Club is carrying the support of their community into every inning.
The players from Yuma include: Christian Chavez, Jaxson Gastelum, Andres ‘AJ’ Lopez, Hector Mejia, Emmanuel ‘Manny’ Lett, Geovany ‘Gio’ Godoy, Jack Bouts, Ryan Zaragoza, Aiden Aguilar, Victorgael Gonzalez, Isaac Rojas, Andre Acuna and Jaddex Gastelum.
The Ultimate World Series promises four days of competitive play, excitement, and sportsmanship. For these young players, it’s more than just a tournament—it’s a chance to showcase their passion for the game while proudly flying the 928 flag.
