The Yuma Sun Sox was a valuable team in the Arizona-Mexico League in the 1950s. During the 1956 and 1957 seasons, the team helped grow Rogelio Alvarez and Lon Goldstein, who became Major leaguers.

Due to financial instability, Yuma ceased sending delegates in 1957.

Rounders is a bat-and-ball game where players score points known as "rounders" when they make it around the four bases without being put out.

Immigrants brought the game to North America, where it was modernized. In 1845, the New York Baseball Club wrote the rules of the game used today.
