We had our first working equitation schooling show yesterday, which was loads of fun. Temps hit 90s this week with humidity, so I set the course back up in the outdoor, and this week’s lessons will be working equitation lessons!

We had an amazing IDS approved dressage show yesterday! Huge thanks to our judge Mary Aitken, our volunteers and all who competed and made this show a success!

Today we had our FIRST working equitation schooling show! Huge thanks to our judge Lidia Taylor for making it an stress-free, fun and informative first show!

Next up? Night of the Horse entertainment show coming up September 11th followed by our Dressage and More fun show Sept 19th & 20th!

The outdoor is open for warm ups, the arena is dry after our flooding rain, and we’re ready for a FULL day of dressage rides at our IDS schooling show!

Liberty Festival-one of our favorite events of the year!

Most horse people can tell you roughly how old they were when the obsession started.

Maybe it was a pony ride, a first lesson, or one particular horse you couldn’t stop thinking about. After that, your family never really stood a chance. 😂

Allison Whisler understands how important those early experiences can be.

Allison began her career as a schoolteacher and later became a PATH-certified therapeutic riding instructor. Today, she runs Whisler Equine Services, teaches riding and Liberty clinics, serves as an ILHA judge, and helps young horse lovers develop real skills with their horses.

Her popular Liberty Festival teaching has included “How to Teach Liberty to Kids,” giving families a practical way to help younger handlers understand the foundations of Liberty.

We’re excited to welcome Allison back to the 2026 Liberty Festival educator lineup.
