💙💛 **SENIOR SPOTLIGHT: ALLURA CUMMINGS** 💙💛

From tiny tutus to big dreams… and a whole lot of fabulous costumes along the way! ✨👑

Meet Allura, one of our EDC seniors!

If there's one thing you should know about Allura, it's that **this girl ALWAYS knows how to dress the part!** Whether she's taking the stage, wearing a crown, bringing a cosplay character to life, or showing up to Halloween week as a zombie ballerina, Allura never misses an opportunity to go all out! 🧟‍♀️🩰

But there's so much more to Allura than the costumes and sparkle!

Allura is homeschooled and attends Cape Fear Community College while continuing to dance on an EDC team. She's passionate about giving back to her community and proudly holds the titles of Teen Miss 4th of July and Wilmington NC Riverfest Teen.

When she's not dancing, volunteering, or dreaming up her next costume, she loves roller skating and binge-watching *Supernatural*! ❤️

And her plans after graduation are just as ambitious and creative as she is!

Allura plans to attend **UNCW to pursue a business degree**, earn her esthetician license at **Nurtur Aveda Institute Wilmington**, and continue her education in professional film and makeup artistry.

From the little girl in the turquoise tutu to the confident young woman she is today, it's been quite a transformation. And the best part? Her next chapter is just beginning. 🥹

Allura, we love your creativity, your individuality, and the way you bring your own special sparkle to everything you do.

We can't wait to see all the incredible things ahead for you!

💙💛 **Once an EDC dancer, always part of the EDC family.**

Show Allura some love in the comments! ✨

🎃 HALLOWEEN WEEK HAS OFFICIALLY TAKEN OVER EDC! 👻💙💛

Day 1 brought a little bit of everything… princesses, fairies, spooky surprises, and an entire crew of Walking Dead ballerinas! 🩰🧟‍♀️

Our recreational dancers showed off their favorite Halloween costumes while our Company dancers traded their usual dancewear for something a little more… terrifying. 😂

And judging by these pictures, our EDC family understood the assignment!

We love seeing our dancers get creative, have fun, and make memories together both inside and outside the studio.

And this is only DAY ONE! 👀

Stay tuned for more Halloween fun throughout the week. We have a feeling things are only going to get spookier! 🕷️🖤

🎃✨ IT'S ALMOST THAT TIME AGAIN! 💙💛

Last year, our EDC teachers took us on a magic carpet ride through Agrabah... and let's just say, they understood the assignment! 🧞‍♂️😂

Now Halloween Spirit Week is right around the corner, and we can't wait to see what everyone dreams up this year!

From spooky and silly to magical and downright hilarious, next week is all about costumes, creativity, laughter, and making memories with our EDC family! 👻🧡

And after last year's teacher costumes, we have just ONE question...

👀 WHAT ARE THEY GOING TO COME UP WITH THIS YEAR?!

Let the Halloween fun begin! 🎃💙💛

10/22/2026

✨ Company Spirit Week is almost here!! ✨

Company dancers, get ready for four days of themed costumes, festive fun, and plenty of EDC spirit. From 10/26–10/29, we’re bringing the fun to the studio—and topping it off with our special Buddy Trunk-or-Treat. 👯‍♀️

Check your inbox for all the details on your Buddy event + themed costume day. Let’s make this week one to remember!

💙💛 **SENIOR SPOTLIGHT: AVA GEORGE** 💙💛

Some dancers leave their mark on the stage. Others leave their mark everywhere they go. ✨

Today we're celebrating EDC senior **Ava George**, a dancer, leader, mentor, and young woman whose accomplishments extend far beyond the dance floor!

A senior at Laney High School, Ava has built an incredible résumé of academic achievement, leadership, and service. She's the founder and president of Laney's Marketing Club, a former co-captain of the Laney Dance Team, a member of the National Honor Society and Beta Club, and an AP Scholar.

Her honors include the Dr. Martin D. Jenkins Scholar Award, the College Board National School Recognition Award, and the National Dance Alliance All-American Award.

And somehow, she still finds time to give back! ❤️

From volunteering with the Miracle League and Northside Food Co-op to mentoring students, supporting youth leadership programs, and serving as a Teacher's Assistant right here at EDC, Ava understands that leadership isn't just about the titles you hold. It's about the difference you make in the lives of others.

We're especially proud that Ava is a recipient of the **Evolution Dance Complex Foundation Scholarship**. Watching our dancers grow into young adults who carry the lessons of dance into their schools, communities, and everyday lives is one of the greatest rewards of what we do.

Ava, your dedication, ambition, and willingness to lift others up are qualities that will take you far beyond the studio walls.

We are so proud of the young woman you are becoming, and we can't wait to see where life takes you next!

Once EDC family, always EDC family. 💙💛

Help us celebrate Ava and all she's accomplished! 🎓✨
