TIM Dancers are invited to “Bring A Friend” to Dance class with them the week of September 14th-September 17th

Each dancer can only bring ONLY ONE friend with them to class.

September 14–17 Share Your Love of Dance! Bring-a-Friend Week

Friends must:

Be within the same age group
Attend one class only
Recreational classes only. NO Company Classes
The following Closed Classes are not eligible for this event:
Hip-Hop Age 9-11

Acro Age 5-6

Jazz Age 5-6

Acro Age 9 & Up

Jazz Age 9-11

Any Others closed by event start date


Permission will need to be signed by a parent or guardian in order for friend to participate. See receptionist prior to class time.

Join us for Singo Bingo, a night of music, prizes, and plenty of good vibes, all while supporting our dancers!

Instead of calling out bingo numbers, we’ll play snippets of songs you know and love. Match the songs to your card, get your bingo, and take home some cash! Each round has a $50 winner (with prizes split if there are multiple winners)!

Plus, we’ll have an exciting raffle with prizes throughout the night!

Join us at Techniques In Motion for an exciting Jazz Funk Fusion experience combining musicality, funk-inspired grooves, and dynamic choreography!

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 12TH

10:00–11:30 AM — Beginner/Intermediate
11:30 AM–1:00 PM — Intermediate/Advanced

MEET YOUR INSTRUCTOR — LILY HEMINGWAY

A Wilmington, NC native, Lily began dancing at just nine years old and has trained under Cory Smith, Lesa Broadhead, and Molly Giffin. Her training includes workshops and intensives at UNC School of the Arts, Commercial Dance Intensive, and American Dance Festival. In 2022, Lily was named “Outstanding Overall Senior” at Dance Revolution Convention. Lily earned her BFA in Dance from Shenandoah University, where she had the opportunity to work with renowned choreographers including Earl Mosley, Mike Esperanza, Tiffanie Carson, Daniel Padierna, Brandi Coleman, Maurice Fraga, Ben Howard, Erica Helm, and Katherine Zukeri. With a deep appreciation for funk music and a passion for exploring grooves across different styles of dance, Lily is excited to share her love of movement, musicality, and creativity with dancers!

TIM School of Dance is closed Monday September 7th in honor of Labor Day

As per our policies:

Holiday Closings & Cancellations: The studio will generally follow the holiday schedule observed by the traditional New Hanover County School System (not year-round schedule). There are some school holidays & teacher workdays that are NOT holidays at T.I.M. If a class is canceled due to unexpected &/or unannounced circumstances such as an illness, family emergencies etc., we will provide a make-up class. The studio does not provide make-up classes for inclement weather, power failures or any other natural act that is no fault of our own.


Any & all studio closings will be announced in the monthly newsletters, on studio website and/ or on the studio answering machine. (910) 799-3223 prior to the closing date. There are no tuition adjustments, deductions for vacations or short months or missed lessons as our schedule is planned so that each class receives the same number of classes per dance season. Please keep in mind that some months have 3 lessons & some months have 5. We do not charge extra tuition for that 5th week.
