What a day. Ladies Appreciation Day finally got the Saturday it deserved, and it was worth the wait.

Congratulations to Layne T and Sarah E, our first place team in the nine hole scramble, and to Leonidah and Doris, who finished second. Both teams came in at one over par, so it came down to a scorecard playoff, and a par on number 8 gave Layne and Sarah the edge over a bogey. You could not have asked for a closer finish.

Thank you to every vendor who came out and made the afternoon what it was. You brought the energy that turned a day at the range into something more.

And most of all, thank you to the ladies who showed up. You had this on your calendar in September, the rain took it away, and you came back anyway. That says everything about this golf community.

We cannot wait to do it again.

🎉 HOLE IN ONE AT MACDONALD! 🎉

Congratulations to Russell Shaffer on his ace at MacDonald Golf Course! Russell stepped up to Hole #9, playing 125 yards, pulled his 8 iron, and sent his Callaway Supersoft straight into the cup for a shot he’ll be talking about for years.

A big thank you to Richard Bradford, Don Wells, and Dave Beranek for witnessing the moment and sharing in the celebration.

Well done, Russell! Who’s next? Book your round at golfwichita.com or in the Golf Wichita app.
