Next Saturday is going to be a fun one in Westminster. The Rock ’n Run 5K kicks off at 5pm and is shaping up to be a really unique local event. Expect live music out on the course, a finisher medal, Under Armour race shirt, beer garden, post-race concert, and plenty of classic rock energy throughout the evening. To register head to our events page or visit rocknrunmd.com.

We’re also still looking for a few volunteers to help out with the event. Volunteers will receive a race shirt and access to the post-race party afterward. If interested, send us a note at [email protected].

And if you’re planning to race, swing by Run Moore today from 10–3 and let us help get you into some go-fast shoes for race day!

Happy Friday! We’ve got a gorgeous weekend ahead of us. Why not kick off your Saturday with a group run at Hashawha?

We’ll be hitting the trails promptly at 8am from Lake Hashawha. As a bonus, we’ll have demo shoes on hand from KipRun to test out. If you’ve been curious about the brand and wanted to check out either their road shoes or the awesome KipSummit Max out on the trail, we’ve got them.

You could not have asked for a better evening for our Global Running Day event!

Thank you to everybody who came out to walk, run, or simply move with us tonight. It was awesome seeing such a big turnout from our running community.

A big thank you as well to Mizuno for coming out and bringing demos of the all new Neo Vista 3. We heard a lot of great feedback from people who took them out for a spin tonight. Very cool that we got a little sneak peek before they officially hit stores in the coming days.

If you missed tonight’s run, make sure to join us this Saturday at 8am at Hashawha for our group trail run.

Seriously, thank you all again. Nights like tonight are a great reminder of how special this community really is.

We hope you can join us tonight for Global Running Day!

We’ll be out at Wakefield Valley and ready to hit the pavement promptly at 6pm with our friends from Mizuno Running.

If you can’t make the run, the store will still be open until 8pm for Westminster Wednesdays. There’s a lot happening downtown tonight, so you could even join us for the run and then make your way downtown afterward before everything wraps up.

We had a wonderful morning at the Girls on the Run 5K!

What perfect weather and it’s always so much fun seeing new runners discover the sport. Congratulations to everyone who participated today, especially those crossing their first finish line.

This Wednesday is Global Running Day!

The other 364 days of the year may be reserved for National Pet Rock Day and Bubble Wrap Appreciation Day, but Wednesday is our day!

We're excited to take the show on the road for a special run with Mizuno Running at Wakefield Valley. We'll meet by the old starter's box at 6pm with free shirts (while supplies last), demo shoes from Mizuno, post-run treats, and some fun miles for runners and walkers of all abilities.

Make a plan to join us at the old Wakefield Valley Golf Course at 6pm and celebrate the joy of running with friends.

This weekend is the big Girls on the Run 5K for Carroll County!

We're proud to be boots on the ground for the race this Sunday and to host packet pickup this afternoon at Run Moore.

Stop by the store today and enjoy 10% off all footwear. At the end of the day, we'll match those discounts with a donation to Girls on the Run.

Girls on the Run does an incredible job helping young people build confidence, friendships, and a lifelong love of movement. We're honored to play a small part in supporting the next generation of runners.

One of the best local running traditions of the summer starts tomorrow night!

The WRRC Twilight Series kicks off tomorrow at 7pm with the 2-mile race at the old North Carroll track. Over the summer, there will be another race every two weeks with slightly longer distances at different locations around Carroll County.

It’s a blast and if you want to stay sharp, race on a budget, see friends from the community and eat popsicles on a summer night, this is the ticket.

Series schedule:
• May 28 — 2-Mile Track Run
• June 11 — Hashawha XC Trail Run 3 Miler (wink)
• June 25 — Run with the Knights 5K
• July 9 — FSK 6K
• July 23 — Pleasant Valley 4-Mile
• August 6 — Runnymede 8K

There is NO race day registration this year and signup for tomorrow’s race closes Thursday morning at 9am! Head to WRRC.com to register.

Good morning everyone. Unfortunately, due to the weather forecast, we are going to cancel the walk portion of this morning’s diabetes event.

We’d still love to see you stop by the store around 10am. Members of the Lions Club will be there accepting donations to help send children with Type 1 diabetes from around Maryland to Camp Merrick.

We’ll also have free t-shirts, snacks and drinks available.

And for anyone still looking to log some miles, our Moore the Merrier group will still be heading out for a wet run at 9am.

Thanks for understanding and for supporting a really great cause.

A rainy night downtown and still a huge turnout for tonight’s spirited run with On Running and our friends up the street at Covalent Spirits.

Really appreciate everyone who came out, supported local businesses, grabbed food from Blowfish Poké and hung out nice and sweaty.

If you want to join us this weekend, we’ll have a The Moore the Merrier run/walk meetup at 9am. At 10 we’ll be leading the Lions Club Diabetes walk. Come out for a casual 2 mile walk through town.
