Finding the Right Fit:

One of the most critical things I do when working with a family is helping the student identify rugby programs that are a “good fit.” But what does a “good fit” mean? As the pictures above clearly demonstrate, it is easy to see when clothes or shoes don’t fit, but it's not easy to envision whether a collegiate rugby program will work for your athlete’s goals.

Below are a few questions I encourage players to consider in determining what program will be a good fit for them. There is no right or wrong answer, but it is important to be honest about what you are looking for in a program. Just like you wouldn’t buy cleats that fit your teammate, you wouldn’t pick a college because that’s where your friends are going! Read more ⬇

RugbyMD has been working with Ben Cima to create an exciting opportunity for players (girls and boys ages 14-18). Every Wed starting Sept 18 and running until Dec 18 (weather permitting) Young Glory will hold High School training sessions at Lindale Middle School from 7:30pm-9:30 pm. The academy is open to anyone looking to participate with the main focus being fundamental skill development along with just getting kids playing a little rugby in the offseason. It will generally be 2 hour sessions, of which an hour was just focused around playing modified touch games. Sign up form is below.

Our boys came back with some hardware from the CRC high school 7’s tournament along with some interested college coaches!! Our motley with our neighbors in Frederick has turned out to be a great pairing😊 Can’t wait for the rest of our 15’s season together before summer 7’s :)
