13 years in the making. 6 years working together. 7 weeks of fully taking over her prep.

I want to congratulate my _shadowONE Bikini prep & posing athlete Elaheh Nejat, who competed this past weekend at the Gary Udit North Americans. This was our first Masters national show together & we came in with one goal: bring our absolute best.

Unfortunately, we did not make the first callout, but that does not take away from the package she brought or the work she put in. Elaheh and I have only been working together since the beginning of this year, and the truth is, we have never had a true offseason or full growth phase together.

She brought great shape, posing, stage presence, and conditioning. What we need now is more overall density, size, and roundness, especially through the hamstrings, glute-ham tie-in, and outer glutes. I am beyond proud of her. She gave me everything this prep, followed instructions to a T & showed how disciplined and committed she is.

Now we grow….With a full year to improve, I have no doubt we will bring back a package that looks night and day different. Please help me congratulate 🌿 Nutritionist & Fitness Coach on an amazing job this weekend.

Every show is either a lesson or a blessing, and this one will only make us better….Coach is proud.

And just like that, we completed our first ever Masters national show together.

This entire prep and weekend was a roller coaster, full of highs and some very difficult lows. Unfortunately, it did not end the way either of us deserved.

Shadow One mentoring Bikini prep & posing athlete Maria Victoria Lascala competed in Masters 45+ Class C & Masters 40+ Class D. In her 45+ class, she looked amazing, continued getting moved up through the lineup, and earned 5th place. The videos in this carousel show that progression, and the final slide shows the official placing.

Unfortunately, I made a mistake. I miscalculated the timing for finals & also misunderstood what her class was, thinking she was Class D in both divisions when she was actually Class C in 45+ & Class D in 40+.

Then, on the way back, an accident in Pittsburgh delayed us another 10–15 minutes. We arrived just barely too late for finals. Because of my mistake, Maria missed the opportunity to walk out and receive the 5th-place award she earned.

I take full responsibility for that. Maria did absolutely nothing wrong. She was punctual, prepared, looked incredible & gave me everything throughout this prep. This was on me, and that is what makes it so hard for me.

I’m embarrassed, disappointed…. And honestly crushed because this has never happened to me before, and I hate that my mistake affected her moment…..But I will not let my mistake take away from what she accomplished.

Maria Victoria Lascala earned 5th place at the Gary Udit NPC North Americans, and Shadow One mentoring could not be more proud of her.

You looked amazing, Maria. You did your part. You earned that placing.

We came with ONE goal in mind, and WE DID IT!! _shadowONE Figure prep & posing athlete Cindy Yoshioka took 3rd place in Women’s Figure Class A at the Gary Udit North Americans!

2 years ago, at this same show, we placed 7th in our first national appearance. The feedback was: bring up the leg density, improve the conditioning & keep her shape.

So we went back to work. 2 years later, she is now a TOP NATIONAL-LEVEL FIGURE COMPETITOR.

But this journey goes back even further. On 9/28/2019, Cindy & I did our first show together & she won Novice, Open & both Overalls in Figure. From that moment, I knew we had something special. This is what happens when an athlete trusts her coach, the coach believes in his athlete & both keep putting in the work year after year.

Cindy Dayanna ♡ you truly are the “Mini Beast.” I’m so damn proud of you & grateful for the effort, heart, and trust you continue to give me.

I’m honestly at a loss for words & full of emotion. This wasn’t built in a few weeks or a few months. This was more than 6 years in the making. Sandi first came to me for posing coaching back in 2020 during COVID & from that point on we continued refining, improving & building year after year.

I watched her work with other amazing coaches, and I was always in her corner….not only as her posing coach, but as someone who genuinely cared about her and believed in her. Deep down, I always believed that if we ever had the opportunity to work together completely, we could get her that Pro Card.

And by the grace of God, we did exactly that…and then some.!!!…Sandi, I am beyond proud of you. You never gave me anything less than 100%. You trusted me, you gave me everything I asked for, and now look where we are.

And we did it!! Gary Udit North Americans…DONE!

2nd Masters National show with Shadow One mentoring Men’s Physique prep & posing athlete Brandon Barclay.

Just 10 months ago, we stepped onstage at Masters USA. 10 months later after 6 months of lean bulking & a 16 week prep, we came back with ONE mission: be 1% better than last time….And we absolutely did that.

We didn’t get first callouts, but Brandon was called dead center for 2nd callouts in both Masters 40+ & 35+ and we still finished strong & with a great look that we can be proud of.

I am GENUINELY PROUD OF YOU, BRANDON. You gave every ounce of yourself to this prep, and your hard work showed. Proud coach, but even more grateful to call you a friend & brother.
