“I’ve been doing glute workouts for months… why hasn’t my butt grown?”

A woman asked me this recently.

When I looked at her workouts it was mostly:
band kickbacks, donkey kicks, glute pulses… and more kickbacks.

Nothing wrong with those.

But she was missing the two exercises that actually drive most glute growth:

Squats
Hip thrusts

These allow you to load the glutes properly, build real strength, and create the tension needed to grow muscle.

Kickbacks are great accessories.

But if they’re the main thing you’re doing, it’s like trying to build a house with a screwdriver.

You need the power tools.
