Is that what it looks like?!
Yep, flakes coming down above 6000 feet this evening, with the slightest hints of accumulation in high, sheltered spots! September has ushered in a few days of chilly conditions here on the mountain. Summit temps dipped below freezing for the first time in the pre-dawn hours Thursday morning before rising a bit throughout the day.
With falling temps and precipitation in the area this evening, I made the hike to the top of Chair 2 to check things out, and sure enough was rewarded with a bunch of sleet and a few minutes of real snow!
