We’re excited and grateful to share that Mission Ridge has been nominated in The Seattle Times’ Best in the PNW Awards! Awards like this are a testament to our strong community, reflecting the skiers and riders who come up year after year and the families that call our mountain home. Especially after a challenging snow year, this is also a testament to our hardworking staff who fought long and hard to bring us the best experience they could all winter. We’re proud to see the team’s dedication paying off.

Looking for a Father’s Day plan that gets the family out and about for some fresh air?

Join us at Mission Ridge on Sunday, June 21, for our Father’s Day BBQ Special at the Chair 5 Pub. We’ll be serving from 11am–7pm, giving you plenty of time to come up for lunch, dinner, & mountain views.

This year’s Father’s Day BBQ Special is a BBQ Platter featuring smoked baby back ribs, kielbasa with onions and Mama peppers, cowboy beans, house-made jalapeño poppers, potato wedges, and Hawaiian dinner rolls. We’ll also have a selection of standard menu items available.

Before you eat, make a full day of it with a nearby trail or lawn games outside the Hampton Lodge. Then head upstairs, find your spot, and celebrate Dad with good food and a great view.

The stage is almost set.

Here’s the itinerary for Opening Weekend at the Chair 5 Pub:

Friday: We’ll welcome you back to the mountain starting at 4pm for Opening Night! It’s gonna be a lively start to summer with plenty of food, cold drinks, and excitement to see everyone back at the Pub.

Saturday: We’re open from 11-9 for lunch and dinner. Plus, our Summer Event Series will get liftoff with “Uncle Doug” Cooper setting the tone for weekly Saturday night live music, from 6:30-8:30pm. With over 40 years of experience, Uncle Doug will bring us some folk-rock & americana tunes to cultivate the Saturday night vibe.

Sunday: We’re open 9-2 for breakfast and lunch. Breakfast is served all the way till 2 if you’re looking for a relaxing weekend in the spring sunshine. Or, fuel up early and hit the trail. The forecast is looking sunny all 3 days!

This morning, I ventured up to Midway via the Summer Road, a round trip jaunt of about 1.5 miles with roughly 500 feet of elevation gain. Leaving directly from our Base Area, a trip to Midway is a great option for folks looking to get out on the mountain for an hour or two.

Despite the fairly short distance, the Summer Road offers up a lot of scenery en route to Midway. As it climbs out of the Base Area, the route opens up views across the drainage toward Castle Peak and Castle Face. Looking uphill, Wenatchee Mountain (Microwave) sits on the upper horizon with the Upper Basin unfolding below it. We’re proud to have Subaru as the Official Vehicle of Mission Ridge, and we want to congratulate our friends Cascade Subaru on their recent nomination for Business of the Year by the Wenatchee Valley Chamber of Commerce. This is a well deserved recognition for a business that contributes a ton to the community.
