"Our season is coming to an end! Our last meet is on Saturday at the Wenatchee City Pool. Please be there by 6:50am so your swimmers can be ready to get in and warm up at 7am. Swimmers, we are excited to now offer Friday Morning Stroke & Turn Clinics! ☀️

This in-depth class on stroke development, technique, starts, and turns is perfect for swim team athletes.

Advanced | Fridays at 8-9AM

Beginner | Fridays at 9-10AM

Instructed by: WRAC Swim Coaches Benjamin Grigsby and Carolyn Petersen

Fee Per Class: $8 Member | $12 Non-Member +wsst

Sign-up in the WRAC App or call the front desk at (509) 662-3544.

A minimum of 5 participants is required for class to happen.

Dang Weather! 🌧
Cool Temps + no sign-ups
= NO 3:30 Saturday Rec Swim
We have a couple of swimmers signed up for 1:00 time. As soon as they are done, we will be closing for the day and will be back to try again tomorrow.

Weather is a bit unpredictable so far but we are gearing up to get rolling on Friday the 12th! New filters, new coat of paint on the pool and new shade pergolas will be in place to make your WRAC pool experience a bit nicer this summer. 😎

Due to weather forecasts for this weekend, our pool will now open on Friday, June 12th for lap swim and rec. swim. Aquatic fitness and the full pool schedule will begin on Monday, June 15th.

☀️ MEET COACH CAROLYN PETERSON ☀️

"I grew up playing different sports for every season from basketball in the winter to my dad coaching tennis summer camps. One of the sports I participated in each summer with the City of Wenatchee was swimming. After the City, I swam with Darcy Bruggman and Carolyn McGee at the WRAC. My favorite memories from sports came from swimming-hanging out with friends during those long meets! I did not swim year round until my sophomore year of high school, again with the WRAC program. I did swim all 4 years in high school and joined Central’s rec team during my undergrad years.

I received my undergrad in Psychology from CWU in 2012 and continued on for my masters in Experimental Psy. After college, I returned to Wenatchee and worked as a para-educator at WHS in the aquatics department. There I was recommended by the head coach, John Pringle to become a coach with Velocity. I started the fall of 2014 and have loved coaching ever since. My first year I worked along side long standing coaches with the beginner group. Since then I have worked with each age group from new swimmers to adults and increased my on deck coaching knowledge and learned many behind the scenes administrate tasks. I am looking forward to transitioning from a year-round club to a summer swim league that started my love of the sport!"
