This is a very difficult post for us to write.
For the past three spring seasons, this youth flag football league has truly been our baby. What started as an idea became a community, and year after year we’ve been humbled by the families, players, coaches, and supporters who made it something so special. Watching these kids grow, compete, learn teamwork, and fall in love with the game has been one of the greatest joys of our lives.
Because of that, it breaks our hearts to share that we will not be running a league this upcoming season.
This decision was not made lightly. Between nursing school and long commutes, and JP’s spring schedule, we’ve come to the incredibly difficult realization that him and I simply don’t have the time or capacity to run the league at the level of excellence that has become our standard, and that you deserve. Rather than give less than our best, we felt the most responsible (and painful) choice was to step back.
We know this announcement may come as a disappointment, and we are truly sorry to anyone who feels let down by this decision. Please know that this comes from a place of deep care and respect for our players and families. This league means the world to us, which is exactly why this choice has been so hard.
From the bottom of our hearts: thank you. Thank you to every parent who trusted us, every kid who showed up ready to play, every coach and volunteer who gave their time, and everyone in the valley who supported and believed in what we were building. You turned this league into something far bigger than we ever imagined.
We will always be incredibly thankful for what we built together.
With so much gratitude and love,
Jenni & JP
