Closed Sunday The CrossFit prescription is “constantly varied, high-intensity, functional movement.” Functional movements are universal motor recruitment patterns; they are performed in a wave of contraction from core to extremity; and they are compound movements—i.e., they are

multi-joint. They are natural, effective, and efficient locomotors of body and external objects. But no aspect of functional movements is more important than their capacity to move large loads over long distances, and to do so quickly. Collectively, these three attributes (load, distance, and speed) uniquely qualify functional movements for the production of high power. Intensity is defined exactly as power, and intensity is the independent variable most commonly associated with maximizing favorable adaptation to exercise. We believe that preparation for random physical challenges—i.e., unknown and unknowable events is at odds with fixed, predictable, and routine regimens.

Part 2 of Deanna’s Forge Story

From too ashamed of her legs to wear a pair of shorts on the hottest summer days ➡️ to appreciating what her legs allow her to do and experience.

What a shift in mindset and confidence!

Most of us have things about ourselves we wish were different, and we all deal with negative self-image sometimes, but we can’t allow ourselves to stay there.

Life is too short and too precious to let discontent and comparison steal our joy!

Exercising your body, lifting heavy things, and challenging yourself can help you shift your perspective away from how it looks to how beneficial it is.

Our bodies are incredible tools that allow our souls to experience LIFE. And that’s what we want - to experience more life!

Fitness won’t solve every problem.

But it will help you become the kind of person who’s better equipped to face them.

The science backs it up: Exercise triggers the release of endorphins and other chemicals that improve mood, reduce stress, and help regulate anxiety. It also teaches your brain something powerful: you can succeed in doing hard things. Every time you finish one more challenging rep, you’re building mental resilience alongside physical strength.

The truth is, we’re all carrying something when we walk through the gym doors—stress, grief, anxiety, disappointment, overwhelm. You’re not the only one!

Come, join the rest of us struggling humans as we work out our mental battles.

*Adults must be 21 years of age or older.
* Kids must be between 6 and 16 years old.

Forge Family Games is our first-ever fitness event, where adults and kids will team up to tackle challenges, conquer obstacles, and make unforgettable memories together.

Each team will consist of 1 adult + 1 kid/teen working side-by-side through a series of fun, creative, and achievable physical challenges designed to test teamwork, communication, determination, and maybe even a little friendly competitiveness.

This competition is all about cheering each other on, stepping outside comfort zones, sharing in challenge, and creating moments you’ll talk about long after the event.

Expect plenty of high-fives, laughs, encouragement, and memories as parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, mentors, and teens/kiddos take the competition floor together. Any adult-kid team is welcome.

Get ready to FORGE something great together! 💪💪

This is Deanna 👋
Along with her husband, Evan, she keeps the gym running. This is Part 1 of her Forge Story.

If you asked anyone from her past until about 3 years ago, if they thought she would do CrossFit, let alone own a CrossFit gym, they would laugh in your face. Nothing about her past life would lead you to believe you’d find her here.

She had zero experience or interest in anything related to exercise, no competitive drive, and debilitatingly low self-esteem.

But then this CrossFit community changed her life!

From burn-out, anxiety, depression, and declining health ➡️ to leading the Forge in about 2 years. Talk about transformation! 🤯

Now, Deanna’s mission is to help others experience the positive changes that come from investing in one’s health within the context of great community.

Stories like Deanna’s aren’t isolated. The Forge is full of them. And there are so many Forge Stories that have yet to be written.

Is yours one of them?

Reminiscing about the crowd we had for our 4th of July workout. 🏋️‍♀️ 🇺🇸 50 athletes crammed in there!

We took on: FORGED IN ‘76

🚣 Buy-in: 1,776 meters on the rower, ski erg, or bike

⭐ 250 sit-ups (or V-ups/GHDs)
⭐ 250 kettlebell swings
⭐ 250 pull-up variations
⭐ 250 box jump-overs

Every 4 minutes, stop to complete:
💥 7 synchronized air squats
💥 6 synchronized burpees
(This was the best part! All would groan in unison 😅 and then everyone stopped to do those movements together. It was so cool to see the whole gym unified for those movements.)

It was such a fun and challenging way to kick off our 259th Independence Day!

250 of years of striving, growing, testing, protecting, innovating, experimenting, seeking, finding, struggling, triumphing, challenging, trial and erroring, learning, creating, exploring, building, and most of all - fighting for freedom.

America, you are a precious and beautiful gift. We’re proud to call you home and we celebrate you.
Happy 250th 🇺🇸🎆🎇

We kicked off Independence Day the best way we know how - working hard together!
