💙 On this Thankful Thursday, we’re thankful for Governor Kay Ivey’s support of family meals and her proclamation recognizing September as Family Meals Month in Alabama!
Family meals provide an opportunity to reconnect, strengthen relationships, and build healthy habits around the table.

Throughout September, we encourage Alabama families to share more meals at home together and celebrate the important role our grocers play in making those meals possible. 🍽️

One voice for Alabama’s grocery industry. 🎙️

AGA President & CEO Ellie Taylor spoke with WVTM 13 about why the SNAP error rate issue matters and what these penalties could mean for Alabama.

For Alabama’s grocers, food banks and the families they serve, this is about finding a fair path forward. Our state needs the opportunity to address the error rate before facing penalties that could create challenges throughout Alabama’s food system.

AGA is proud to continue carrying this message forward and advocating for solutions that protect access to food across our state.
