EXPEDITION ANNOUNCEMENT:
I am thrilled to announce that 12 November 2026, I will be leaving for Antarctica to complete an UNSUPPORTED SKI from the Hercules Inlet (coastline) to the South Pole.
Crossing over 750 miles of extreme conditions, with no resupply or outside assistance, we will pull everything needed to sustain the 2 month long journey!

Yes, I’m slightly crazy, but you know I LOVE a SUFFERFEST! 💙❄️🥶

Follow my journey, practicing the tools of GGRIT, leading up to, and through the expedition, taking me one step closer to completing the Adventurers Grand Slam!

Very few people attempt this challenge. Even fewer finish it.

BE A PART OF THIS EPIC JOURNEY:
- Contact me to SPONSOR, your logo at the South Pole
- Book me to keynote your next event
Every $$ helps support expedition costs!

Stay tuned, because we’ve got a lot to due before Nov 12! YOU READY? Let’s GGRIT’er DONE

POLAR EXPLORATION HISTORY TIME:

I got to see the home of Roald Amundsen, in Svartskog, just south of Oslo. Known as one of the pillars of the “Heroic Age” of polar exploration, his legendary accomplishments include
- He and his crew aboard the sloop Gjøa became the first people to transit the Northwest Passage.
- He planned an expedition to be the first to reach the North Pole. But when Roald learned American explorer Robert Peary had reached it first. Amundsen secretly changed his plans, and headed to Antarctica instead.
- Where he, four men, and 11 dogs became the FIRST TO REACH THE SOUTH POLE, on December 14, 1911.
- In 1926, he joined with American explorer Lincoln Ellsworth and Italian aeronautical engineer Umberto Nobile in a historic dirigible flight over the North Pole in 1926.

In May 1928, Amundsen learned Nobile and his crew, had crashed on the ice north-northeast of Spitsbergen, during a series of flights over unexplored areas of the Arctic. He immediately joined a multinational rescue effort. Unfortunately, Amundsen and his crew disappeared, and it is believed that their aircraft crashed in the Barents Sea.

Although some plane debris was recovered, Amundsen’s remains were not. Nobile and some crew were rescued weeks later.

Huge THANK YOU to Anders Bache for the tour, education and time spent
Anders Bache is a brilliant archaeologist, researcher, and curator who leads the research, management, and digitization program at Roald Amundsen’s House.

And THANK YOU Bjorn Bjørn Sekkesæter for hosting me and not only kicking my arse training, but for creating a cultural experience and introducing me to a deeper knowledge of polar exploration!

Just when I think I’m training for something pretty epic and badass, I met a group of people raising the bar…
Of course Bjorn goes way back with this crew of equally SUFFERFEST DRIVEN humans! Was awesome to spend some time and share adventure stories with Norwegian Team India - World’s Toughest Row

What’s known as The World‘s Toughest Row World’s Toughest Row is an annual race across 3000 miles, starting in San Sebastián, La Gomera and finishing in Nelson’s Dockyard, Antigua. (For the Atlantic option. There is also Pacific race)

Sign up for an unforgettable journey where every sunrise and sunset brings breathtaking beauty and adventure. Are you ready to embark on the ultimate test of body and mind? Choose your ocean!”

Right up my alley, right? 🤣

They’ll be on the water, while I’m on the ice… cheering each other on! After party in Antigua?? 🍹

GO GET’EM GENTLEMEN! GGRIT’ER DONE!

08/29/2026

So, it’s been a hard 2 weeks mourning the loss of so many people close and far away. But, I had a training trip to Norway already planned. A heavy heart makes for incredible physical fuel.
A few long term goals have aligned and I’m moving forward to seize opportunities. Norway was a critical piece to committing to an extremely challenging expedition in Antarctica. After finally meeting, face to face, polar mentor Bjorn, and badass teammates, Gulnur… the Magic 8 Ball say “DO THIS SH*T!”

More to be revealed over the next few weeks

Extreme goals require extreme commitment, hard work and GGRIT.

What goal in YOUR life begs to be answered? If the time, pain and effort required results in achieving what you once thought impossible… wouldn’t it be worth it?

Take another step forward, towards the next version of yourself, today.

Heartbroken by the catastrophic Massive glacial collapse, landslides and flash floods through Nepal and Tibet.

Due to climate change and warming conditions, I fear this horrific event is just the beginning.

Nepal has welcomed me in many times over the last 25 years, with kindness, compassion and encouragement. I cannot imagine the pain and suffering her people are experiencing.

Nepal, we stand with you and pray for your healing and recovery from this devastating time. 💔

I’ve looked up a couple reputable non profits you can donate to if you’d like to give support

I lost a trusted friend and teammate last week, Matt Dawson. It’s been waves of shock, disbelief, and deep sadness, coming to accept the guy I just chatted with a couple weeks ago will not be there next time I call. He will not be there next time we navigate through Siberia trying to reach the North Pole. I sought his counsel, I respected his actions, and admired his courage and compassion.

Dawson was multi-record holding endurance and adventure athlete, author (Read his book: Strength in Surrender), speaker, and Founder of Matt Dawson

He died while climbing Communism Peak in the Pamir Mountains of Tajikistan. His mission was taking on three of the world’s toughest peaks to support people living with ALS.

The saying goes: “Mountains don’t kill people, choices do.”
Some choices are driven by ego.
Sometimes that choice is simply deciding to go. Dawson set out to inspire the discovery and pursuit of purpose.

I have know many who’ve lost their lives on the mountain. But this one hits hard. Dawson was an extraordinary and kind human being. This world was better with him in it.

“Earn. Give. Live. Your Life.”

I miss you my brother and will carry you in spirit to the pole.

Please help me in continuing his goal to raise money and awareness for ALS
Go to ALS Network and donate today.

I also just found out the talented and highly respected guide, Todd Passey, died skiing in Chile. I met him the first time down in Antarctica. The black and white photo has both Dawson and Todd, all of us toasting to our successful expeditions. Our hearts hang heavy. May you both be at rest.
