NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY! BUT GREAT ATTITUDES REQUIRED 😉

Summer has officially started with the annual GoPro Mountain Games in Vail, CO. Events packed the last few days and the music, vendors and community were buzzing!
I was able to watch my favorite DOCK DOGS competition as well as the Men’s and Women’s Boulder Finals, thanks to USA Climbing (thanks to Dave Landman and Lindsay Malone for hosting me!)

CONGRATS to all! Another year of thin air MOUNTAIN COMPETITION complete! And the Valley will return to normal… which are all of these activities daily anyway 🤣, sans the crowds watching 😉

Evenings like the 2026 Charles Armstrong School Annual Benefit make sharing my neurodivergent journey worth every moment!

mission is to unlock the unique potential of students with dyslexia and related learning differences, changing the trajectory of their lives

Thrilled to be the featured speaker of this Conversations, Cocktails & Community Event! Uniquely different than the typical keynote, Neil Tuch (Head of School) and I had an honest discussion about the pain and struggle of dealing with learning disabilities. But also the incredible strength and resilience built as a result.

Deep connections made with the educators, parents, and supporters passionate about giving neurodivergent students an environment to feel normal, develop confidence, and THRIVE!

Thanks to Gil & Zelia for intros. Thanks to Neil Tuch and Andrea Edwards for bringing me in! I cannot wait to work with the Armstrong School again soon!! We’re just getting started! Let’s keep changing lives!

THANK YOU for joining the 1st GGRIT ADOPT-A-TRAIL Crew Day!! What an amazing turn out and “We didn’t come to play” attitudes!

Our Team ranged from ages 24 - 71, male & female, trail maintenance 1st timers to an experienced VVMTA Trail Ambassador !
We did not disappoint! WORK GOT DONE! I’m incredibly proud of every single person for showing up, digging in and making the most of the morning!

HUGE THANK YOU to Natalie and for the guidance and the opportunity to give back to our trails, make new friends and work up a thirst!

18 years ago today I said goodbye to my mentor, my safe place and best friend, my father Hal Norwood Buchanan Jr. I am in so many ways my father’s daughter, then and today.

Loss is not kind. It is not fair. It has a power to change your entire life. But it is also inevitable and something we all must face.
I am the lucky one. I was lucky enough to be loved and cared for by this man.
Over the years, I’ve realized perhaps the extreme pain and devastation is an opportunity to bring forward in you the resolve and strength you so admire in the person you lost. That you might let the best in them live on in you.
It is possible to find purpose in loss and be better for it.
Thank you for the gifts you’ve given me Dad. Thank you for continuing to walk by my side on expedition and thank you for giving me the strength to become the woman I am today! ❤️
