Last weekend, nearly 60 athletes, families, coaches, and staff from across all SSCV disciplines came together for our Vail Pass Clean Up. ♻️

As part of our new bi-annual Adopt-a-Highway commitment, SSCV has officially adopted the Vail Bike Path and will continue hosting two clean up efforts each year to help care for the community and environment that gives so much to our athletes.

A huge thank you to the Town of Vail for the incredible support throughout the day, including transportation assistance and a police es**rt for our pickup along I-70 once the cleanup was complete.

Projects like this are about more than keeping our community clean β€” they’re about building leadership, teamwork, and stewardship beyond sport.

Thank you to everyone who showed up to support. It’s always bigger than skiing and snowboarding. πŸ™Œ

The Campbell Cup is more than a race series.

Held each spring at Golden Peak, it’s a chance to come together as a community and honor β€” a teammate, leader, and skier whose impact continues far beyond the hill.

Campbell believed in something simple and powerful: no one fights alone. Even while going through treatment, she showed what it means to lead with strength, positivity, and commitment to others.

Through her vision, the was created to ensure no young athlete has to step away from their team or community while facing challenges like cancer. Since 2020, it has supported athletes with scholarships and resources to keep them in the sport they love.

The Campbell Cup reflects that spirit. It’s about more than results. It’s about showing up for each other, pushing together, and carrying forward a mindset built on grit, compassion, and commitment.

Every turn, every run, every athlete on course is part of that story.

Ski like Campbell.

Day 1 of the 2026 Toyota U.S. Alpine National Championships presented by Stifel kicked off at Golden Peak.

Racing kicked things off on home snow, setting the tone for an exciting week of competition at the highest level of alpine skiing.

From there, athletes took to the streets for a parade through downtown Vail, bringing the energy of Nationals into the heart of the valley and celebrating competitors from across the country.

The celebration continued with a U.S. Ski Team athlete signing, giving the community a chance to connect with some of the best in the sport.

The day wrapped up at the Colorado Snowsports Museum with food, drinks, and a great atmosphere to close out Day 1.

An awesome start to Nationals here in Vail. Racing is just getting going.

March is National Athletic Training Month, and we want to take a moment to recognize someone who means so much to our athletes and our community, .

If you have spent any time around SSCV, you know Katie. She is the one with the constant smile, the calm presence, and the genuine care that makes athletes feel seen, supported, and safe. No matter how early the morning or how long the day, she shows up with the same energy and compassion every single time.

Katie is not just an athletic trainer, she is someone our athletes trust. She listens, she encourages, and she goes above and beyond to make sure every athlete feels confident not only in their recovery, but in themselves. Through injuries, setbacks, and comebacks, she is right there with them.

Her work with brings world class care to our athletes, but it is her heart that truly sets her apart.

Katie, thank you for the way you show up for our athletes, not just as a professional, but as a person who genuinely cares. SSCV is better because of you.

The final Vail Cup of the season is coming up this Saturday, March 14, and we’re excited to close things out with a fun day on snow.

With limited snow and venue options this season, this event will feature one Giant Slalom run followed by a Slopestyle competition. The Slopestyle course will include a box and rail line along with two jumps, creating a true freestyle experience for athletes.

Event Schedule:

Giant Slalom – Golden Peak Race Venue
9:00–10:00 AM Inspection
10:15 AM Race Start

Dual GS format with boys on one course and girls on the opposite course. Each athlete will take one run.

Slopestyle – Golden Peak Terrain Park
10:30–11:30 AM Inspection
11:30 AM Competition Start

Athletes will receive an overall score based on style, creativity, and difficulty, with one scored run through the course. Inspection time will allow athletes to familiarize themselves with the features.

πŸ† Awards

A quick reminder for returning competitors: please bring your bib. We won’t have extras available, as we need to reserve bibs for new athletes.
