The state of CO eBike voucher program is back! Qualified residents can receive $1000 or more towards a new eBike and the first application period is open right now.

We've already had a lot of questions about this program so here are some quick FAQs:

Who can apply?
- Anyone with household income below 80% of the area's median income; or participation in SNAP, LEAP, Section 8, Medicaid, or other aid programs.
- Only one lifetime rebate is allowed per person, so if you previously received one you can not apply again.

What do I get?
- Those who are selected receive $1000 towards a standard eBike OR $1300 towards a cargo eBike / adaptive eBike.

Where can I use the voucher?
- Right here at Tarantula Cycles of course!

Can I get a mountain bike?
- Hardtail mountain bikes qualify, but full suspension bikes do not.

How do I apply?
- Visit energyoffice.colorado.gov/ebike-rebates for more information and links to apply.

When do I apply?
- The first period is right now from Aug 24 to Aug 31. There will be at least three more application periods: Oct 19-26, Jan 11-18, and March 15-22.

How does the drawing work?
- This program is a random lottery so you are not guaranteed to receive a voucher. We have seen quite a few of these redeemed in Las Animas county in previous rounds so odds are not bad!

Can I combine this with the eBike tax credit?
- Yes! Tarantula Cycles is a participating retailer in the tax credit, which is a $225 discount on eBikes for Colorado customers (no tax filing required for the buyer.)

Fresh singletrack at Fishers Peak State Park! The trail system continues to blossom with 10 additional miles open to bikes. Thanks to the trail builders and planners for this awesome expansion!

We are very excited for these new options as they allow riders to experience the park with zero backtracking if they wish. Two stacked loops off the upper trails plus Goldenrod -- previously a hiker-only trail -- opening as an uphill-only bike trail.

First Spring and Chaquaqua trails offer new viewpoints, a meandering backcountry flavor, and fun side hits. A full lap of Fishers can now extend close to 20 miles, and the system can be ridden in a number of combinations.

Look out for the first backcountry campsites coming soon too.

Fresh new singletrack opening up this Saturday!

Join Fishers Peak State Park and Colorado Parks & Wildlife for a celebration and unveiling of our newest trails at the park. We'll have events for all ages.

Hike or bike on your own or participate in an untimed Poker Hike and Bike and other fun events with prizes!

9 miles of newly constructed trails will officially open on the 15th and we can't wait to share them with you. Park staff will be onsite to listen to your feedback and to share what's next to come as park development continues.

Official Fishers Peak State Park merchandize will also be available on-site to purchase.

A CPW Parks Pass or Keep Colorado Wild pass is required for park entry.
