Course Preview: Habanero 40
 
Riders start in gorgeous downtown Trinidad, surrounded by amazing architecture cheering fans. Soak it in, then lock in…it’s time to ride.
 
Your first challenge is the Trinidad Rollercoaster - As soon as you leave town and hit the lake, you’ll face relentless ups and downs that will burn your legs and test your focus. You’ll get some temporary relief from your first aid station of the day, but stay strong, the true challenge lies ahead!
 
Leaving the lake, you’ll face a steady 9-mile climb up B***o Canyon. The grades might not be extreme, but the sustained effort will challenge your endurance and climbing skills. Refuel at your second aid station of the day at the turnaround point. 
 
From here, you’ll start the lightning-quick return journey to Trinidad, descending back down B***o Canyon, swinging by the lake (and aid station 3), and climbing up the brick road to the iconic finish line 🏁
 
The Habanero might be the shortest ride here at The Rad, but it’s got no shortage of spice 🌶️
