Catching mutton snappers Chuck.

I noticed this mutton snapper had a "very rare" Dry Tortuga's marking below the black spot no eat zone

So it went home with me for future "evaluation". 😁

Cole really wanted a shot at his first black grouper.

Eminem says you only get "one shot."

But Cole was lucky and had three.🎲

First two didn't stick,

But then, the 3rd shot.

Told him that his last drop was his.

"It was his Americas Got Talent Moment."

Did he what it takes? His dad and I stood by.

A dinner at Buffalo Wild Wings was the bet.

Then he smiled as the fish ate, Cole makes it to the next round- BW3s.

The Magic 🎱 was right on!

Which was amazing because I wanted my long time client Chuck to have a great couple days.

I do have to admit, I put in a lot of prep to make this look easy.

The great thing about Chuck is, he gets that.

Which makes fishing with him all the more fun and also why he caught what he caught.

Luck is preparation meets opportunity.💯

I strategically targeted his favorite eating fish- the black grouper and mutton snapper.

We were back to the dock by 1pm yesterday and noon today with limits of mutton snappers between 28-32 inches and one 24 inch fish.

Chuck caught his black grouper both days and I even got to do a little fishing. 🙏

Fished with Greg and his son Cole on Saturday for the first time.

Cole really really wanted to catch a black grouper.

Conditions were not the greatest on Saturday so they had to work hard for it.

These are the types of things I teach in my online courses and communities.

Cole caught his first ever black grouper, fish was 40 lbs on a 9/0 heavy inline circle hook. (His dad caught one as well).

The 2 person limit of mutton snappers was a bonus.

Overall a great day on the water. Hope to see them again soon, awesome clients.

Down for 3 weeks and wanted to learn about catching bait live bait and reef fishing.

Caught some nice mutton snappers and a couple cooler size black groupers between lightning storms.
