A little bit about the MAP WALL in the hall.

It’s our community art installation called, “Alchemy in the Wild.”

What is Alchemy in the Wild?

It began as our homage to our favorite Southeast crags and the people that love to climb there.

Because, climbing in the Southeast is incredible. Our corner of the world boasts classic bouldering fields, amazing walls, and beautiful wild lands. Florida climbers, especially our dear friends in this community, are special. We have strength and heart, and we carry the summit within. We may have a bit of a drive ahead of us to get there... but when we hear those crags calling... we must go.

Originally, Alchemy in the Wild focused exclusively on the Southeast (hence the Save the South flags that hang above the maps- another ode to our history as a gym). After a few months, we decided to expand the installation to include climbing submissions from any where in the WORLD! Let's gooo!!

Ultimately- Alchemy in the Wild helps us celebrate the places and people that make climbing such an integral part of our collective experience.

So, if you have adventure photos from your climbs, we’d be thrilled to feature them. Let’s continue to create this work together! 

Huge shout outs and thank yous to everyone that has already shared their photos and trip reports with us so far. We absolutely love our community!! And, we love watching this project unfold.

Member Movie Night Registration is LIVE!!!

Alchemy Members - please mark your calendar for Sunday, 09/20 at 7:30PM because it's time for our next Member Movie Night! This event is for members only and is free to attend (like all of our fun members only events 😉 )!!

This event is complete with delicious popcorn for your movie watching experience!

The movie you ask? Only a literal CLASSIC climbing documentary: VALLEY UPRISING! This one was a Grand Prize Winner at the Banff Mountain Film Festival!

Generations of beatniks and madmen drop out of society and take up a life of rock climbing on the massive granite walls of Yosemite National Park. Essentially the history of climbing in Yosemite Valley.

(and side note: yes, we totally named our main rope room after this very Valley).

Get ready for an empowering and supportive morning on the wall at our new Women's Morning Climb Event! Connect with fellow climbers, work on your projects, and build community in an encouraging atmosphere. Light snacks will be provided!

​Date: Saturday, August 29th
​Time: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM

​Event Schedule:
​10:00 AM – 11:00 AM: Top Rope Session
​11:00 AM – 12:00 PM: Bouldering Session

​Age Requirement: 18+ only.

​Pricing:
Free for members.
Non-members must purchase a Day Pass ($25).
​
Requirements: Participants must be Top Rope certified specifically with Alchemy Climbing. No belay testing or instruction will be conducted during the event—participants must be certified prior to entry.

​Climbing Disciplines: Top rope and bouldering only. No lead climbing is allowed during this event.

​Gear: Rental gear is available at the front desk if needed.
