FUSIA-THON: A Special Evening Event — a vibrant night of noshing, music, dancing, connection, and community support benefiting the expansion of the Fusia Center for the Arts.

Senior spotlight: Athena Santiago 🤍🥳✨

“Ever since I started dancing at Fusia four years ago, I have grown not only as a dancer, but also as a person. When I first came to the studio, I only took ballet, jazz, and tap. Over time, I pushed myself to try new styles like contemporary, contemporary ballet, modern, acro, and hip hop, and through that I discovered how much I truly love dance and expressing myself through movement.
One of my favorite experiences has always been going to PYDF and sharing those memories with the people who have become like family to me. Fusia has always been such a supportive and encouraging environment where everyone cheers each other on, and I am so grateful for the teachers and friends who have believed in me every step of the way.
Dance has taught me to keep going even when something feels difficult or impossible. I will always cherish the memories, friendships, and lessons I have gained at Fusia.”

Some of her favorite memories from her dance training include learning from her incredible teachers and dancing with her best friends. She would like to thank her parents, siblings, teachers, and friends for always supporting her throughout her dance journey!”

Senior Spotlight: Kayleigh Schmidt 💞🦋✨

“This will be Kayleigh’s 11th year dancing at Fusia. She appreciates all genres of dance but contemporary and hip hop are definitely her favorites. Some of Kayleigh’s favorite moments from performing hip hop pieces with a big group, where the energy is so high and even the crowd chimes in! She wants to give Miss Dalilah and Miss Jade a huge thank you for the late nights at the studio working on the solo, and thank you to Fusia Dance Center for so many fond memories and for fueling her passion and joy in dance.”
