Dear Jr Rams Families,

It is with our deepest sympathy and a heavy heart that we announce the tragic passing of our dear friends, Coach Hugo Hernandez and his beloved wife, Christina. The Hernandez family has been an integral part of the San Joaquin Jr Rams community since 2019, when they first joined us with their sons, Hugo Jr. and Diego. For years, they have brought warmth, dedication, and an unyielding positive spirit to our sidelines, fields, and community events, leaving an indelible mark on everyone who had the privilege of knowing them.

Hugo Jr. and Diego, both proud graduates of St. Mary’s School, represent the very best of their parents' love, guidance, and values. As a community, we share in the immense grief of this profound loss. At this time, we ask that you please keep Hugo Jr. and Diego, along with their extended family, in your thoughts and prayers. We also kindly request that you respect the family’s privacy as they navigate this incredibly difficult journey.

We will share details regarding memorial services or ways to support the boys as that information becomes available. Thank you for your continued compassion and solidarity during this time of mourning.
