NOVA Roller Derby supports our neighbors in North Carolina affected by Hurricane Helene by donating our half of the 50/50 raffle to the Community Housing Coalition of Madison County and the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina. The Community Housing Coalition of Madison County is a community-based nonprofit agency that facilitates urgent home repairs to low-income Madison County residents in need of assistance. The Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina is actively working to connect emergency responders and their sister food banks with additional nonperishable food, water, and supplies to support communities across the 25-county disaster area and the lands of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians. You can help too with a monetary donation to either of these organizations. Ways to donate and more information are available at the NOVA merch table.

Hello everyone! NOVA Roller Derby is looking for one more volunteer to join our medical staff for our upcoming game on Saturday, October 26th. You’ll be needed from 2pm-6pm at the Michael & Sons Dulles Sportsplex in Sterling.

Nova Roller Derby is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and insured through the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association.

Our league hosts a roller derby bout each month, and as part of our safety protocol, we require two medical staff on-site to handle any potential injuries or emergencies. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience and help out a local non-profit organization!

Who Can Volunteer?
*EMTs, Paramedics
*Nurses (NP, RN, LPN)
*Physician Assistants
*Certified Athletic Trainers (ATC credential)
*CMA and RMA (paired with a certified medical volunteer)

What We Provide:
*Free Admission to the Game: Enjoy the game while helping out!
*Complimentary Snacks: We’ve got you covered.
*All Medical Equipment: Just bring your skills!

Hey everyone!

We are pretty desperate for medical personnel for our roller derby game on Saturday 9/7. We need one volunteer from 11:30am to 4:30pm at the Michael and Son Sportsplex in Sterling, VA. We will provide a food/travel stipend of $75 (negotiable - if there's something else you need or want let me know and I'll try to make it happen!). We will feed you snacks and give you the best seat in the house for the games. PLEASE let us know ASAP if you or anyone you know can help if you meet any of the following requirements:

- Certified First Responders (CFRs), Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs), or Paramedics
- Physician with sports medicine, orthopedic, and/or emergency medical experience
- Athletic trainer with CPR training
- Licensed Practical or Registered Nurse with current CPR training and sports medicine experience
- Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant with current CPR and sports medicine, orthopedic, or emergency experience

Nova Roller Derby is looking for volunteer EMT staff for our double header this weekend. All medical supplies will be provided for you. We will also give you drinks and snacks and our unwavering appreciation for your help! Medical staff would start at 11:00 am on September 7th at the Michael and Sons Sportsplex in Sterling, VA. EMT would be needed until about 6:00pm.
