It’s hard to believe we’re so far into the season! Only two more event weekends and a couple more SYCC gatherings.

We’re looking forward to seeing what the new race venue is like at Stocksdale Stampede in Liberty. Be on the lookout for sign-ups in TeamSnap to support our teams this weekend. Check out the race flyer (link in bio) and preview the course.

SYCC Missouri Interscholastic Cycling League GRiT Ambassador Spotlight: Ellie!

Q. Favorite local trail? Why?
A. Most any climb trail out at Two Rivers. I like climbing.

Q. Favorite thing to do when you’re not biking?
A. I love reading dystopian, sci-fi, or gothic novels, hanging with my friends, and spending time with my family.

Q. What do you love about biking? About GRiT?
A. I love how biking can be both a competitive sport, and a lifetime hobby, as well as being a super awesome community. GRiT is amazing because it connects girls who all share a passion for the sport, whether they go out to race, or have a fun ride.

Q. Favorite SYCC or race memory?
A. Seeing my sister finally get to join the team this year, and doing really well at her first few races. She’s been around for so long on the sidelines, and it’s been really cool to have her participating and enjoying biking.

Q. How did you get into biking?
A. My dad wanted to get me into the sport at a younger age, but I didn’t ride often or really like it until I joined SYCC. Once I started riding with the team and made some friends, I started to genuinely enjoy it, and eventually decided I wanted to try to compete more seriously.
