We are so excited to welcome Maria to our SeaSide Team!
Maria’s love for dance began at just 2 years old in Connecticut, where she trained at Doreen’s Dance Center. Throughout her years as a dancer, she focused primarily on Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, and Modern, developing a strong technical foundation and a passion for artistic expression.
As her dance journey continued, Maria became a member of the Figment Youth Dance Ensemble, where she not only performed but also shared her knowledge and passion by teaching Modern and Lyrical classes. Her dedication to both dance and education led her to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Child Studies, combining her love for working with children and helping them grow through movement.
After completing her degree, Maria returned to her hometown to teach dance at her former high school. Through her leadership, enthusiasm, and commitment to her students, she grew the program from just 6 dancers to 26 participants (330% growth). Under her instruction, students successfully competed at both local and national competitions in Jazz, Hip-Hop, and Pom.
In 2025, Maria and her husband relocated to North Carolina with their three children. She is thrilled to bring her experience, creativity, and passion for dance to SeaSide Dance. Maria believes in creating a positive, encouraging environment where dancers can build confidence, develop strong technique, and discover the joy of movement.
When she’s not teaching, you may spot her daughters, Maelyn and Everleigh, around the studio—be sure to say hello!
