I still can't believe I'm posting this...

🏆 2026 City Meet Champions... WINdermere Wizards! 🧙‍♂️❤️🖤💛

I am so incredibly proud of every single swimmer on this team.
This year we welcomed several new swimmers, especially in our 8 & Under age group, with new faces sprinkled throughout the older age groups as well. To me, that's one of the biggest victories of all because it shows our team continues to grow. Every single swimmer came to practice, worked hard, encouraged one another, and gave their absolute best.
We were even missing several swimmers this week because of vacations and other sports, but our team never stopped believing.

We started City Meet on Monday with our 8 & Under swimmers putting us in the lead, and we entered our final day trailing first place by 600 points. It was exciting, stressful, and I'm pretty sure Coach Grace didn't sleep much all week!

I said this last year, and I'll say it again: this team is what it is because of every coach who has walked onto that pool deck since Windermere began rebuilding the program. Many people don't realize that the pool was actually closed for a period while it was rebuilt. Things looked very different back then. What we're celebrating today didn't happen overnight. It took years of dedication from coaches, families, swimmers, and so many volunteers who believed in what this team could become.

There's one more thing I'd like to address.

I've heard people say that I'm "too competitive" about summer swim. The truth is, that's probably the biggest misconception about me.

Am I happy that we won? Absolutely.

But winning has never been the reason I do this.
I love these kids. I love this sport. I love watching children discover confidence, overcome fears, cheer for their teammates, and learn what true sportsmanship looks like. Nothing makes me happier than seeing swimmers from every team fall in love with swimming.

If you've ever stood on a pool deck with me, you know I'll cheer for a first-place finish just as loudly as I'll cheer for a swimmer who finally finishes a race they were once afraid to swim.
That's what matters to me.

I will always do everything I can to support our coaches, our swimmers, and our families because this team is about so much more than trophies. It's about building confident kids, lifelong friendships, and a love for a sport that changes lives.

Thank you to every swimmer, coach, parent, volunteer, official, and supporter who helped make this season unforgettable.

Congratulations, Wizards.

Back-to-back City Meet Champions. ❤️🖤💛

A note to my newest group of people.♥️

WOW, I am SO proud of all of our future Wizards! 😎

Our developmental team has made incredible progress this summer. Watching these little swimmers grow in confidence, learn new skills, and fall in love with the water has been one of the best parts of the season. Several of our youngest swimmers even competed in their very first swim meets this summer—a huge milestone that wouldn't have been possible without an amazing coaching staff that has helped mold these little fish into swimmers.

**Peyton** returned this year to lead instruction for our youngest group, creating a safe, encouraging environment where swimmers could learn to love the water while building confidence every step of the way. Through every success and every setback, Peyton has been there cheering them on.

**Drew** joined us this summer and has been such a wonderful addition to our team. He has worked tirelessly to build relationships with each swimmer, encouraging them to "just keep swimming" while helping them improve every day. His dedication and instruction have been invaluable.

**Rylie** has truly stepped in and stepped up. She has discovered just how much fun swimming can be, and her love for children shines through in everything she does. She brings so much energy and encouragement to our youngest swimmers.

**Haddie** returned after working with us last summer, and we couldn't be happier to have her back. She has a special way of making every child feel seen and capable. You can always find her cheering them on, drying tears, celebrating victories, and reminding them they can do hard things.

I love this coaching team so much. Their patience, kindness, and commitment have made such a difference in the lives of these young swimmers.

I can't wait to watch these little fish continue to grow, and I have no doubt that many of them will be joining our swim team in the years to come. The future of the Wizards is bright! 💙🏊‍♀️🧙‍♂️

Just a little note to all of my people. ♥️

As Swim Team Coordinator, I am so incredibly thankful to be part of such a dynamic team.

This program has been growing and evolving for years, and I've had the privilege of working alongside so many amazing coaches. Every single one has brought their own unique talents, strengths, and heart to help build this team into what it is today. More than anything, I'm proud that our swimmers encourage one another, support each other, and give their all every single day.

This season has been filled with incredible support.

**Zeinab** has stepped in whenever our current staff has been away, volunteering her time to the community she loves. After coaching for several years, she's now busy "adulting" and earning her law degree—but she still makes time for our Wizards. We love you, Zeinab!

**Grace** came back for another summer after leading us through an unforgettable undefeated season and City Meet championship before moving to Iowa to pursue her dream of becoming an OT. Grace, the kids and I love you so much, and we're so thankful you gave us another season.

**Sam** has shown what commitment looks like. He's returned year after year, always willing to help, especially when one of our littlest swimmers needs a little extra attention. His swimming knowledge has been a game changer for our newest swimmers.

**Liam** is new to our coaching staff, but he has poured so much energy into our youngest age group. He genuinely loves swimming, and it shows in the way he connects with our kids. We're lucky he'll be around for several more summers while continuing his swimming career at GW.

And then there are **Rylie** and **Haddie**, who have devoted every Wednesday to this team. They come early, gather swimmers, run kids around the pool, swim their hearts out, and celebrate every victory and every disappointment right alongside us. Their enthusiasm is contagious, and I'm so grateful for them.

To our amazing parents—thank you. Thank you for volunteering week after week, bringing me water during those 100-degree meets, stepping up whenever help is needed, checking on me throughout meets, and simply showing up for your kids and this team. Your support never goes unnoticed, and I couldn't do this without you.

It truly takes a village, and I'm so thankful this is ours.

We have one BIG meet left—City Meet! It's always bittersweet because it means another incredible summer is coming to an end. If you're on the fence, it's not too late to enter! I hope every one of our swimmers experiences it.

Thank you all for another unforgettable summer. I already can't wait to do it all again next year.

💙 Go Wizards! See you at City Meet! 🧙‍♂️🏊
