Mark your calendars! Here’s a great learning opportunity to look forward to this summer.

YOUTH WRESTLING CAMP!

We are excited to announce that Sam Carney has coordinated with North Idaho College Wrestling Coach Cooper Thomas to bring a Youth Wrestling Camp to Wrangell next month!

A huge thank you to Ambre & Sig Burrell, Muddy Water Adventures, and Joy & Dave Miller for making this opportunity possible by purchasing Coach Thomas's airfare and providing housing during his stay. We are grateful for the community support that helps make programs like this happen!

📍 Wrangell Community Center
⏰ Daily Sessions:
• 9:00 AM – 11:30 AM
• 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM

🏅 Techniques Covered:
• Hand Fighting Systems
• Snap Downs & Front Headlock
• Finishing Shots
• Shot Defense

Ages: 8–18 years old
Cost: $20 per wrestler
(Proceeds help cover Community Center cleaning and utility costs.)

Friendly reminder - Tonight, Thursday April 9 we will be having a short wrestler parents meeting between younger and older kids practice 5-5:15.

Every wrestler needs a parent in attendance. We will keep it short and to the point.

Additionally, following that meeting we will be having an informative meeting for families interested in attending the state wrestling tournament in Wasilla April 30- May 2. This is a chance for us to inform about the tournament and hopefully answer any questions that you may have.

SITKA TSUNAMI WRESTLING
COMPETITIVE SESSION
REGISTRATION OPEN

This session of Tsunami Wrestling will be a competitive and intensive training opportunity for grades K–12. Wrestlers will focus on developing skills in freestyle and folkstyle wrestling.

Practice Schedule
• K–5th Grade: Tuesday–Friday
• 6th–12th Grade: Tuesday–Friday
• Open Mat: Saturdays

This session will conclude with the opportunity to compete at the Alaska USA Wrestling State Tournament
