Today’s Announcement! An extraordinary opportunity just evolved… An incredible private wildlife experience is now available for mid-March, the very best time of the year for humpback whales, sea lions, and eagles! During that time, great shoals of Pacific Herring amass near the wild wilderness coastline of Sitka Sound. While they approach the period of spawning, they fall prey to all the predators that have followed them into the Sound. We routinely encounter dozens of whales, often in bubble-netting pods (!!), along with hundreds of sea lion, scores of eagles, and other wonderful seabirds and mammal. I absolutely love to be on the water when all the wild animals are in a frenzy!!
