Ever wonder what happens to your fish after you step off the boat? 👀🐟

That’s when our processing crew kicks into high gear!

While you’re winding down from an incredible day on the water, our team is hard at work filleting, washing, vacuum-packing, freezing, and boxing your catch exactly how you want it.

And leading the charge is Grace, our seasoned processing pro. She works late into the night and is back at it early in the morning to make sure every guest’s fish is handled with care and ready to travel.

By the time your trip is over, your fish is delivered to the airport and ready to make the journey home with you. Just print your bag tags, pick it up at your final destination, and enjoy a freezer full of memories. 🎣🐟

There’s a whole lot of work that happens after the boats hit the dock, and our crew makes sure every fish gets the VIP treatment.

This week brought a giant squid by another charter on our dock, a king crab that was caught and release on Aurora, and a red-hot offshore silver bite, along with plenty of action for halibut, rockfish, and blackcod.

80 years is a pretty good reason to celebrate. 🎉

The Ortloff family joined us this August to celebrate Larry’s 80th birthday, and what better way to mark the occasion than with three days of fishing in Sitka?

Larry got to introduce his family to a place he loves, while they spent time together chasing salmon, halibut, and rockfish on the Pacific.

They had some great fishing, but the real catch was three days together making memories as a family.

Big birthday? Anniversary? Retirement? Whatever milestone you're celebrating, make it one you’ll be talking about for years to come.

Because the fish are great, but the memories are what you take home. 🎣

The fish are here, and Sitka is looking good. 🎣☀️

Captain Tom’s latest fishing report landed in inboxes yesterday, and if you missed it, here’s the quick version:

Silver salmon are showing up in good numbers and good size, kings are still making an occasional appearance, and white meat fishing remains steady.

Add beautiful weather and low 70s in the forecast for the next three days, and we’d say it’s a pretty great time to be on the water.

The Grommesch party wrapped up their trip with us earlier this week, and the smiles say it all! 🎣

One of the things we love about this time of year is the variety. On any given trip, you might find yourself chasing King Salmon, Silver Salmon, Halibut, Rockfish, Yelloweye, and more. No two days on the water are exactly alike, and that's part of what keeps every trip exciting.

The slow start to July is officially behind us. Silver salmon have arrived in full force, limits are hitting the dock, and kings are still making appearances for anglers chasing silvers. Add in hot halibut fishing, dependable rockfish, and the season's first salmon shark, and the action is only getting better.

If you've been waiting for the right time to get on the water... this is it. August is shaping up to be everything we've been hoping for. 🎣🐟
