Blue skies, calm seas, and fun fishing have kicked off June in Sitka. 🎣

King salmon are producing limits most days, GAF halibut are showing up regularly, and lingcod and rockfish continue to keep rods bent. With calm weather ahead, we're looking forward to exploring deeper water for blackcod too.

A few prime June and July dates are still available. Join us on the water!

🐟King season is off to a hot start!

We've been seeing some beautiful fish come across the dock, and the best is still ahead. As the season continues, we'll be chasing bigger kings and the unforgettable battles they're known for.

Kings are showing up in classic May fashion 🎣 Short, sweet bite windows and plenty of “right place, right time” moments for our guests. And the action is building as we push toward June.

Halibut fishing has been strong both nearshore and offshore, including a 196-pound barn door that just missed qualifying for the Big Halibut Battle 👀 Lingcod have been eager, rockfish are keeping rods bent, and the few blackcod trips that made it out found success too.

Cool mornings, unsettled seas, and even ice on windshields haven’t slowed us down. Protected inside waters are still producing great fishing and our boats are getting guests on the action daily.

Meet the first-ever Big ‘But Champion!🐟👑

Eleven-year-old Kaelyn Puzel took home the Round 1 title in our first annual Big ‘But Battle after landing an impressive 108 lb GAF halibut while fishing with Captain Jack M.

Each year we kick off the season with 4 nights of unforgettable dining followed by 4 days on the water chasing unforgettable catches.

The AU crew snuck in some time on the water in between getting boats and the lodge ready… and it is GOOD!! 🎣🔥

The kings have been hungry, and we’re seeing bait balls, birds working, and whales all around the fishing grounds. The ocean is full of life right now and it’s got everyone excited for what’s ahead.
