Thanks to all who stopped by our Salty Spoke bike and accessory yard sale yesterday! Not only did we raise over $2,000 that goes to supporting a safer, more enjoyable bike community, we also got more bikers on the road in Sitka 🙏❤️

We still have a few more bikes available, as well as used accessories like fenders, racks, reflectors, and more! Stop by any Saturday between 11 am and- 2 pm to become a member, check out what supplies we have, or to work on your own bike!

Successful ride out to Green Lake yesterday for this month’s St Patrick’s Day Bike and Brew! 🍀 We had a great group of ambitious riders who helped each other through this challenging ride. Luckily the weather was on our side too! Thanks everyone for joining, I think we could all agree the beverages and pizza afterwards tasted particularly good

Missing the sun we had during our middle school bike club with earlier this week! We practiced our safe riding skills and biked from Blatchley to the Salty Spoke to do a little bike maintenance. We then continued our journey onwards to the playground and back. Such a fun little outing!

It was a busy weekend for the Salty Spoke! During our Saturday open hours, we fixed shifting, replaced forks, and did a few basic bike tuneups. That evening, we hosted the Mount Edgecumbe High School girls empowerment bike club. The group of girls biked over and made these beautiful earrings out of used bike chains! Then on Sunday, we joined the Winter Women’s walk. So many fun things to celebrate 🎉🚴🏽‍♀️
