🏆 STATE FAIR CO****LE WAS AT IT AGAIN THIS WEEK! 🏆

Let’s start with Vanessa over at The Shop near STL! She and her partner Cathy took down 2nd place in Tier B! Way to go, ladies! 🔥

Next up, Travis H and Keith B headed to County Line for a co****le/golf duel! After a long day on the golf course and throwing bags, they took down the B bracket! Definitely a deadly duo on both fronts! ⛳💪

Blacksheep and George Pink made their way to a fundraiser hosted by NFG KC, bringing home 3rd place while supporting Project Graduation! Getting on the podium while supporting a great cause—love to see it! 👏

Next up throwing with Blacksheep was Charity! These two battled through heat and rain, making it to the championship undefeated! Unfortunately, they got served the double scoop in the championship and finished 2nd! Still a hard-fought finish! 🥈🌦️

Blacksheep also brought home 1st place with Henry at the Warsaw Knights of Columbus! 🥇

Then we have Chris B, out there throwing singles and taking down the win! Way to go, Chris! 🔥🏆

Of course, we can’t forget all the team members collecting podium finishes at Sedalia Moose and Warsaw Knights of Columbus!

It’s been a minute since we’ve caught up on our Sedalia Moose and Warsaw Knights of Columbus results! Let’s start with our weekly nights at the Moose! 🫎

🔥🔥 TEAM SFC APEX — PODIUM UPDATE! 🔥🔥

It’s been a little longer than normal since I’ve done a Team SFC APEX post… but I’m blaming the Missouri State Fair and my serious lack of sleep! 😂😴

Don’t let the silence fool you though — this team has been BUSY! From Columbia ➡️ Crocker ➡️ STL ➡️ Sedalia, our players have been hitting boards, hitting podiums, and representing SFC APEX! 🎯

🟡 BRENT BROWN

We’re starting in Columbia with Brent Brown!

On August 12, Brent took on the BYOP at Bur Oak with partner Brant Francis. They battled through Tier 1A and came away with a 🥉 3rd-place finish!

Then Brent headed right back to Bur Oak for the Summer Singles League, where he took down the 🥇 #1 spot in Tier 2!

Once league wrapped up, he wasn't finished! He jumped into Singles and added a 🥈 2nd-place finish in Tier 2!

And to top off the night… HE WON PILE UP! 🏆

If you know Pile Up, you know that is NO easy feat!

🟡 GEORGE PINK

Next up is George Pink, who just keeps finding his way into these podium posts! 😂

George headed to Crocker with partner Travis Hagedorn, and these two went UNDEFEATED through a STACKED group to take home the 🥇 WIN!

But the night in Crocker wasn't over yet!

After the tournament wrapped up, Air1 Co****le put on a Blind Draw, and George teamed up with fellow SFC APEX member Brian Mumby.

The two battled their way to a 🥈 2nd-place finish!

Another podium for George and another great showing for Team APEX! 🔥

So now the question is…

Back to Columbia we go!

Brian Mumby took on the Bur Oak 15.5 with partner Barry A, and these boys battled their way to a 🥉 3rd-place finish!

The amount of talent in that field was CRAZY, and Brian and Barry played their hearts out through some tough games.

Then Brian made his way to Crocker, where he teamed up with George Pink in the Air1 Co****le Blind Draw and added another podium with a 🥈 2nd-place finish!

Now we're making our way over to STL, where Vanessa Kerley took down the 🥇 WIN at The Shop with partner Jason Wolfe!

🔥 SFC TEAM APEX — CHARITY MUMBY 🔥

THE LEADER. THE BRAINS BEHIND THE CURTAIN. AND A COMPETITOR WITH BIG GOALS.

If something is happening with State Fair Co****le, there’s a pretty good chance Charity Mumby had something to do with it.

As an ACO Governor and one of the driving forces behind SFC, Charity spends countless hours behind the scenes organizing, planning, promoting, supporting players, and helping grow the game of co****le throughout the area.

But when the work is done, she’s ready to grab her bags and compete too.

Heading into ACO Season 22, Charity has set some BIG goals, especially in Women’s Singles. She’s ready to challenge herself, expand her game, compete against higher-level players, and see just how far she can push herself this season.

One of Charity’s favorite parts of co****le is meeting new players. Whether they’re brand new to the game or some of the best players around, she loves making connections, learning from others, and helping create an environment where everyone feels welcome at the boards.

And while she has goals of her own, you’ll rarely find Charity focused only on herself. She’s one of the first to support her APEX teammates, cheer on other SFC players, and even encourage competitors from outside the team.

Hayden is a phenomenal junior player who continues to show that age doesn’t determine how well you can compete on the boards. His steady, consistent game makes him a tough opponent, but what may stand out most is his desire to keep learning and getting better.

Hayden is eager to watch, listen, and learn from higher-level players. He isn’t afraid to ask questions, take advice, and then put what he learns to work on the boards. That willingness to learn, combined with his natural ability and consistency, gives him an exciting future in this game.

🏆 WEEKLY PODIUM RECAP | WEEK OF 08/03 🏆

What. A. Week. 👏 From competitive games and new players learning the ropes, to celebrating a huge milestone with one of our own, and finishing the weekend helping communities come together for great causes — **this week showed exactly why we say CO****LE IS FAMILY!** ❤️

📍 WEDNESDAY NIGHT SWITCH | SEDALIA MOOSE Sedalia Moose Lodge 1494

We kicked off the week with 44 SHOOTERS showing up Wednesday night!

And let's just say… there were some GREAT games!

We saw several players throwing high 10s and even 11s during rounders, which made for a 7.2 PPR split from top to bottom. We went with a 50/50 split, and that created some absolutely STACKED teams in the upper bracket!

But one of our favorite things to see happened in Tier 2. Our newer players were learning from their partners, getting more comfortable on the boards, and continuing to improve. We are incredibly thankful for the newer players who keep showing up every week ready to learn, compete, and become part of this co****le family. Keep throwing — the improvement is showing! 💪

When I say co****le is family, y'all proved me right Friday night. ❤️

People came from all over Mid-Missouri — not just Sedalia — to show Mumby some love and celebrate **5 YEARS SOBER!**

Seeing everyone come together for such an important milestone was definitely heartwarming. Thank you to EVERYONE who showed up, brought food, threw bags, shared some laughs, and simply enjoyed the night with us.

We had 38 bean bag tossers and, as we normally do with more than 30 players, split everyone into two tiers.

☀️ SATURDAY | MIAMI, MISSOURI BENEFIT TOURNAMENT

Saturday morning we packed everything up and traveled to **Miami, MO**, to help a fellow team member run a benefit tournament for a friend who had undergone a heart transplant.

It was HOT. 🥵 It was SUNNY. ☀️ And depending on which board you were throwing on, the bags might have had a completely different idea about how fast they wanted to go! 😂

But none of that mattered.

11 teams showed up, threw some bags, and helped raise $600! ❤️

Watching a small town come together to support one of its own is always something special. That's bigger than wins, losses, PPRs, or podium finishes.

Thank you to everyone who came out, played, donated, and helped make the tournament a success!
