Brooding season is here! A freshly hatched pheasant egg caught my eye while I was out and about on the farm this morning. I'll keep my eye out for chicks.

I am down to 20 hunts left!

Thank you to everyone that has come out and moved the last of the birds out of the door. I really appreciate it. I am down to 20 $150 8 bird hunts left to finish out the season. The weather looks good next week and I would certainly like to finish out the season by April 12th! If you would like to get out please let me know.

Tower Shoot on April 12th!

Last weekends tower shoot went great! We tossed out 70 birds and had a lot of fun. Send me a message if you want in on the next shoot which will be held April 12th. Get a bunch of buddies together. You can't beat the price or the shooting you will get in. I'll even drive you down in the Blue Bomber 15 passenger van.

Food Plot Planning!

I decided to pick up some "new" equipment to make improvements to our food plots moving ahead. It looks like I'll have a little bit of a hobby farmer array of implements. I got really lucky and scored this John Deere 7000 4 row planter, which is pretty much bomb proof. This piece also has liquid fertilizer applicators on it which will be really handy! I'll be able to plant corn or beans from now on and this will also help me clean my food plots up as I rotate crops from year to year. I'm aiming on continuing to improve the fields every year from cover, to food plots, to shelter belts and I think this will help out quite a bit.

Birds are available!

Pheasants are available this year, even though we are getting to the end of the season, and I have some great deals. I am planning on staying open until April 12th, possibly later but I have found that a lot of guys want to get out on the water and move onto warmer weather hobbies. If you want to head out let me know.

50 Pheasant Flush

The 50 Pheasant Flush has been going very well. Jeff and the Bear Hunters came down from Northern WI last weekend and had "a great time". The 6 guns ran 4 dogs 2 goldens and 2 english setters. The birds held well, and I utilized the Island Field. I'm going to stick with that field for the remainder of the season for larger groups of birds. This time of year, in open fields, the birds want to run. In that field they stick to the cover and it works very well.

Safe to say Jeff and the Boys are having a real good time on their 50 bird hunt this morning! Whole Lotta shooting. I could easily toss 100 birds out on the island! Birds are still available send me a message if interested!

Tower Shoot this Sunday!

I have a couple of spots left if you are interested in coming out for a tower shoot this Sunday the 15th at 1pm! This is a nice fundraiser for my youth team and a good opportunity to have some fun and get some shooting in. Cost is $150 per gun. Includes bird packaging and cleaning!

Field conditions!

Field conditions are still very good for late season hunts. I continue to use the shelterbelts when needed. They have really made the fields a lot more dynamic and offer a different type of hunt. Especially on days that I know the birds will really be moving around. It looks like we will have some cooler temps moving in the next couple of days. Come on out! It will make for some great hunting and the dogs won't get tired.
