The RoboDawgs

We have produced hundreds of software engineers and today our RoboDawgs are developing code that was beyond our reach six months ago. Working with VS Code and Claude Code, with custom tutoring Claude.MD files, they are writing, debugging, and competing with more sophisticated code than we ever have before. And we’re two-time VEX AI World Champions.

The author of this article shares our views - and that’s why we’ve push deep into AI tools. We’re using them to make our kids better problem-solvers who can produce the code to support their game strategy in a fraction of the time it used to take. We’ll continue to teach our kids to use AI tools, in connection with any competitive arena that will let us use the tools, to help them better understand the code they write.

A two-decade veteran of Microsoft, Google, and Snap says the next generation of engineers will spend less time typing code and more time supervising AI.

It’s a good thing we fly Delta Air Lines, or we check our robots in checked luggage.

Just out - “Southwest Airlines does not allow human-like or animal-like robots to be transported in the cabin or as checked baggage, regardless of size or purpose. A "human‑like robot" is a robot designed to resemble or imitate a human in its appearance, movement, or behavior. An "animal-like robot" is a robot designed to resemble or imitate an animal in its appearance, movement, or behavior. All other robots, including toys, must be able to fit within a carry-on size bag and comply with existing battery restrictions.”

The first step for robot-kind in the aviation world will have to wait after Southwest Airlines banned human-like robots from its flights. The move was prompted after a man bought his robot companion a ticket from Dallas Love Field to Las Vegas.
