Hello everyone,

After track season, it’s a gradual transition to cross country. I want this season to be better than last year. In Order to do that, we need to first look better as a team. Our uniforms are basically, in my opinion, hand-me-downs.

I want to start a fundraiser to get new uniforms, warmups and small duffel bags. I have one idea from my CoCoach, but if you have any other ideas or links on how this can be possible, send me a direct message. If I don’t respond immediately, I will get back to you eventually.

I also want to take field trips like to a college meet or hocking hills, etc. For now, my main focus are uniforms and such. Thank you for your support and having us to coach your kids.
We want to look good. We want to represent. We want to be part of Greatness.

I did my first marathon in Toledo 2019 because I didn’t know how I would feel coming from having a blood clot in 2018 and I wanted to be healthy enough to do it. I was very nervous, scared and almost confident at the same time. My goal was 4 hours, but by running with people and giving me the praise and support, I thought maybe I can get a 3:30. Still had doubts.
Once I got there and the race started, my heart was racing with excitement (especially when my Dalys crew surprised me at the starting line). The goal of 3:30 was coming until miles 21 and 22 when I got the leg cramps. Never felt anything like that before. So I stretched, ran and cramped again and again. Once I was almost at the finish line, I pushed through. I had to look good for the people that were watching me.
When I finished, I couldn’t believe that my 4 hour original goal turned out to be a 3:35.
Now, here we are again and this time I’m going for Boston 2025. Plus I want to fast enough to qualify for some of these BIG races. This is my LAST CHANCE as a 49 year old to qualify for 2025. So here we go. I will be running the Toledo Glass City Marathon this coming April. Get ready…Here I Come. For…

It’s been one heck of a journey. I was short of a BQ but I definitely got under 3:30. The atmosphere was great, temperature was perfect, the energy of the crowd was amazing Couldn’t asked for anything more. Now I get to celebrate the way I know how. It’s been 10 months since I had zebra cake rolls. I can eat junk and have “beverages”. At least for 2 weeks, then I’m right back at it.
