The spider curl does is a nice addition to pullday. It’s CBUM approved so you know it’s good. Toss it in and let me know how you feel

Progressive overload means adding Great Whites to your warm-up routine

Most people try to go 6th gear full throttle on Day 1 to make up for lost time... and that’s why 90% of beginners quit after 2 weeks.

When I was starting out down 245 lbs ago, the hardest part wasn’t the workout—it was the fear of walking into the gym and not knowing what to do.

If you’re terrified to step foot on the gym floor, stick to machines and cables only for your first two weeks. They guide your path of motion, protect your joints, and let you build muscle without worrying about balancing heavy free weights.

Best part? Every single one of these 5 movements is available in virtually any basic gym:

🔹Seated Cable Row
1 warm up set(light)
3 working sets x 10-12 reps
Until failure

🔹Cable machineLat pull downs
1 warm up set (really light)
3 working sets 10-12 reps
Until failure

🔹Reverse pec deck
1 warm up set (really light)
2 working sets 10-12 reps
Until failure

🔹Lat pull overs
1 warm up set (light)
2 working sets 10-12 reps
Until failure

🔹Preacher curl bicep machine
1 light warm up set
3 working sets 10-12 reps
Until failure

When the legendary swell hits the coast and you gotta lock in for that emergency cardio session.

Squats are a great lift... but if your goal is pure hypertrophy without lower back fatigue, modern machines take the trophy. 🏎️🏋️‍♂️

I’m in too deep

They look almost identical from across the gym, but here's the mechanical difference:
Lat Pullover (Back):
Pivot point: Shoulder extension
Upper arm sweeps from eye level down to hips
Elbow stays locked in a static position
Tricep Pushdown (Arms):
Pivot point: Elbow extension
Upper arm stays pinned to your torso
Forearm hinges straight down to lockout
Stop letting the wrong joint take over your movement.

We’ve all been there

Gained 4 lbs this week and old me would have completely panicked. I would’ve slashed calories, added an extra hour of cardio, and run myself straight into the ground trying to force the scale to move.
The reality? Work was brutal, stress was high, and my CNS was completely fried. That 4 lb jump isn't fat—it's stress, inflammation, and fatigue holding onto water.
My coach gave me the smartest play: back off to 80% intensity, let the nervous system catch up, and protect the baseline. Sometimes taking your foot off the gas is the only way you actually finish the race. Trying to out-work a fatigue wall won't make you progress faster—it just burns you out.
Smart training over emotional panic every single time.
