We had the chance to dive Chikin Ha Cenote, one of the most beautiful cavern systems in Mexico’s Riviera Maya! The name Chikin Ha comes from the Mayan language and means “Western Water.”

The cave system itself began forming millions of years ago as groundwater slowly dissolved the limestone, eventually causing sections of the cave ceilings to collapse and create the breathtaking cenotes we see today.

Unlike ocean diving, cenote diving is all about crystal-clear freshwater, dramatic limestone formations, and mesmerizing haloclines—where fresh and salt water meet, creating a shimmering ripple effect that feels like swimming through another dimension!

We just wrapped up an incredible week of diving in Cozumel with Dive Masters of San Antonio and an amazing group of nearly 30 people!

We stayed at Iberostar Waves Cozumel and spent our days diving with Dressel Divers — morning dives, afternoon dives, night dives, and plenty of unforgettable moments in between. A huge thank you to our dive masters for being knowledgeable, professional, and bringing the best attitudes every single day!

As much as we love the diving and the incredible places it takes us, what truly makes these trips so special are the people we meet along the way. New friendships, nonstop laughs, shared adventures, and memories that go far beyond the time we spend underwater.

Our very first Destination Scuba dive trip to Cozumel is officially in the books and it exceeded every expectation.
We stayed at Blue Angel Dive Resort, and from start to finish it was an incredible experience. Crystal-clear water, vibrant reefs, and more marine life than we could’ve hoped for. From colorful fish and coral to unforgettable encounters along every dive, Cozumel truly showed off.
One of the highlights? Exploring a shipwreck beneath the surface and even spotting a submarine pass by while we were diving. Not something you see every day!
We had outstanding dive guides who made every dive smooth, safe, and fun. Between boat dives, shore dives, and night dives, we packed in an amazing amount of underwater adventure.
Trips like this are exactly why we do what we do—bringing great people together to experience something completely different from the surface world.
We’re already looking forward to our next Cozumel trip in December 2026… and trust us, you’re going to want to be on that one.
